Water genasi are patient and slow to change, preferring to wear away opposition slowly, but are capable of great violence in extreme situations. They are most often neutral. All have one or more traits that reflect their quasi-elemental nature, such as lightly scaled skin, clammy flesh, blue-green skin or hair, or hair that waves as if underwater. They dress sparsely, preferring clothing that will not bind when in the water and ripples like waves when dry.
- Favored Class: Monk
- Must be Neutral-aligned
- +2 Constitution, +2 Wisdom, -2 Dexterity, -2 Intelligence
- Quick to Master: 1 extra feat at 1st level.
- Skilled: 4 extra skill points at 1st level, plus 1 additional skill point at each following level.
- +2 to all Will saving throws
- 50% Cold Immunity
- The Water Genasi can harness the moisture in the air to create an aura with a regenerative and sometimes other effect.
- Regeneration is equal to (character level / 10) + 1 every round. Affects self only. Duration of aura is 2 rounds per level.
- The aura is empowered while drenched in rain or while in the Plane of Water, giving a spell resistance bonus of character level + 10.
- However, if the aura enters cold, arctic climates (or if its snowing), the aura instead begins to bond to the skin of the Water Genasi, giving him/her damage reduction equal to (character level / 4 ) + 1. A +10 weapon (or greater) is needed to pierce through this icy coat.
- Additionally, the aura is capable of extinguishing fire area of effects.
- Finally, the water aura evaporates in dry, desert climates where no precipitation is present.
- Water Genasi Clerics must take Water as one of their clerical domains
- Breath Water: Water Genasi are immune to drowning
- +2 to the DC of any Drown spell that they cast
- Darkvision
- Immunity to Charm Person, Dominate Person, and Hold Person
- Vulnerable to Turn Undead when the enemy caster has the Planar Turning feat or another means of turning outsiders.
- Level Adjustment +2
Character Creation Notes:
- Unavailable in the Ragnar's Kin due to racial restrictions.
- Cannot be used to make Paladins or Arcane Archers in the available factions due to racial or alignment restrictions.
- Cannot be used to make Monks in the Shadow Legion due to alignment restrictions.
- Cannot be used to make Clerics in the Mystral Ascendancy or Ancient Ones due to domain restrictions.
- Cannot be used to make a multiclassed character with both Monk and Blackguard levels due to alignment restrictions.
