a friend is trying to roll up an earth genasi, but the only options presented on the subrace screen is "githzerai." he's definitely choosing neutral alignment (else the gith wouldn't show up.) he tried both the text box way and selecting via menu.

has anyone else had issues rolling up a genasi recently?

Is he a cleric not taking EarthDomain?

sure hope when its put in (if its not already) that it invalidates all genasi's who did not follow protocol...

Neutral is the only prereq that i can think of for e-gen .....and of course certian factions may not have it available to them

providing the most details will maximize the chance of you determining the solution to your problem

no cleric involved at all.. he's picking fighter actually.

Has he tried typing in Earth Genasi in the subrace box during character creation? After going human of course. I have found you do not always need the subrace configuration menu if you use the subrace selector during character creation, it just helps cement the choice. Just make sure your spelling is spot on.

I think I found the problem but no fix coming until I get home, another 8 hours or thereabouts.

I had the same problem last night rolling up a new fighter. I made her CN and left the subrace field empty. Just like the first poster I only had Human and Gith as an option.

Fatz, faction shouldn't be a factor as you take the subrace before you choose a faction
