Respawn buggy

After I've been killed, and choose to respawn, I rez right where I was killed, get beat on by the mobs that killed me briefly and then am ported to the rift shard where I bound. Sometimes, I arrive newly dead, other times I arrive alive but with status ailments such as disease from the second attack.

Should respawn work like this? Perhaps for those few seconds that you are still in the zone that you died at you should have some sort of sanctuary or invisibility spell on so that you aren't attacked, and then when you arrive back at your binding point, the spell is removed. Just a thought.

you should wait a minute or 2 until the monsters around you drop out of combat. that way they will most likely walk away and give you time to respawn without any adverse effects.

i think relogging will be a better option dont you think? cuz there might be a chance that the mob might simply preffer to stay beside you :D.

anyways respawning where there is this AoE spell that causes you to turn to stone. RESPAWN is also a bad idea. reloggin will cause the map to refresh i think as long as no other person was tehre which is usually the case.

just saying from experience cuz i have died 3x from that turn to stone cloud (what ever tat spell is called) and respawning only to turn into stone again. relogging helped me respawn safely.

If you log out Dead and there is no one elese on the map , you will Break the area  which is an annoyance (the monsters will NOT refresh until a server reset, or someone 'fixes' the zone......and if you log back in they may still very well be on top of you in the same spot.... --- and then Auril will come and chase you down with a +2 stick.

The dead area bug has been fixed long ago, and the bug also happened when others was in the area, if you logged out while dead the area was broken, but this is fixed now.

True it has been fixed for a long time now (pre-wipe) but.... now there's the double-spawn bug when you log out dead, as someone mentioned in another thread... i once had 2 grand mystics, 4 golems and a pile of other mobs appear around me when i relogged for a rez/scue...

Yeah, once there was at least 50 amazons on one screen. It was frightening....
