i have played on the ns4reflections server for a few days and today i was going up the mountain to try the boss below it and about half way up i see 2 peeps who are red to me so I kil one and chase the other til i kill him
we ended up on oger pass and then there is a bloodrinker so I kill it and then a champion shows up and kills me
i get raised and some Silvanus god sends me a tell and says i needed a challenge cuz i looked bored so I tell him I wasnt bored and that i killed 2 dudes on my way to the mountain boss and he comes back and says i needed a challange cuz the dudes were 10 levelos lower then me.
how do i tell there levels? i never saw em before and ran into them on my way up the mountain how do i tell taht they are 10 levels lower then me and do all the gods here decide if your bored?

1. level info have been removed, so you cannot tell the level of any opponent, pc, or npc...
2. u arent restricted in who you pk, as long as it is within the NS4 guildlines listed under the NS documentation thread in the news and announcements section of the forum --- ill bet it was the god who was bored

I realize that players dont have access to who is associated with what IP addy's, but since you are one of the few whose IP hasnt changed in forever dont you think pretending to be someone else and playing stupid is just a bit beneath you?
Especially since this is the second new forums account that has come from your household since Reflections opened. You have been around NS for long enough to realize that this is more than an ignorant question, coming from you in this way its sole purpose must be to annoy.
Please note that I have not revealed who actually posted this, however every member of the DM team does have access to the same information that I do. So your "secret" is only to the other players, who will more than likely put one of two names in place. Sadly I think most of them would be wrong in their guess. So I will say that its not Havok or Kromix.

TGPO slaps out t3h P\/\/4G3 !!!
Time to lock thread
Constructively though... Generally one would look at the CR on the creatures in the area and make an assumption from that as to what the level of PC would be in that area.
Most ppl play in areas with creatures of higher CR than they are. So if you are along Ogre pass and see CR 10 or whatever on the ogres, you can assume that the PC's in that area aren't going to be any higher than 11 or 12 at most and would most likely be in the range of 5 to 10.

I've never found it particularly difficult to tell roughly what level someone is if they're fighting mobs. you know the level of the mob, just watch them for 2 rounds. if they hit it every other time they're about the same, if they hit it lots they're higher, if they don't hit it at all they're 5 or so levels lower. similarly pay attention to how much the enemy hits them. also check out the number of attacks they have (if they're meleeing) or the spells they're casting if they're a caster.
after 1 more round of mental arithmetic you have a rough answer, and it took ~18 seconds.
