Timestop

Ok, I think there is something seriously wrong with timestop.
A) I have used timestop multiple times on my epic focused wizard (pure level 40). It only act about half-as advertised. It seems EVERY one of my teammates gets to be free, not 25%. Also during my timestop NOONE can cast spells even if you enter the area outside of being timestopped.
B) I saw someone cast timestop tonight who i would be willing to guess is not epic transmutation focused. When he casted timestop he was able to cast grease.
Something is wrong when those that blew 3 feats (1 epic, 2 pre-epic) feats are in a WORSE position than those who took no feats for the feats. Please can I get a dev to relook at timestop?!?!?!? I blew 3 feats to do nothing but run away, whereas if i didnt use those feats it seems I could cast bigby or a plethera of other spells!!!

not sure about the grease... i have a caster not focussed in time stop and he cant cast anything in it. we had several greases up at the time you hit your time stop.
also as a general statement, the men in charge have been notified regarding certain exploits that were uncovered today.
(not on your korr but the guilty party knows who he is

That as far as I know is a glitch. It happened to me the other day when respawning, I was attacked and it retailiated and didnt teleport me. I was left where I was invulerable to any damage. Mini Arukubar cast grease in the middle of his timestop. Also my focused (and concentration over 60) timestop is not lastin 3 +1d4 rounds, I think the spell needs looked at again.

spell is supposed to end when you cast/do anything besides stand or run...its defensive now and not offensive.

What was in (and it's going on hiatus for being...bug-susceptible for what we make nwnserver do) was a % chance of allies not being frozen. Needed reworking for a while, didn't know what to do with it.

Ok defensive is fine. But I SAW (I know I should have SS, but I got instantly irritated) someone cast grease in the middle of their timestop.
My focused timestop on a 40th level wizard, the spell last no longer than anyone elses. As well I cannot cast spells during it, offensive or defensive spells. It still has its uses dont get me wrong, I have absolutely no issues with my timestop making all my allies free to roam about.
I will do more tests tomorrow to see if what happened was just either a glitch or thats how it reads out for others casting. What I mean by this is I have another wizard who can cast timestop, I will do so with him. After I cast timestop I will cast another spell, if it tells me the spell went off (which it tells me it doesnt for mine (i.e. " X is casting Grease" "X casted Grease" vs just "X is casting Grease") then its just a bug for read-outs and this whole post is null. Otherwise I would really like a look into the timestop script from the Devs. I will also try to "recreate" the situation incase it was that. By this I mean I will have Wizard A cast timestop (the focused one) and then Wizard B cast timestop and try to cast. Because there is that possibility that it was just a slip of scripts.
To tep : You can attempt to cast a spell, or use a scroll, or a wand/rod. It says "You cant cast while timestop is in effect" (or whatever it specifically says) but it does not end the timestop. To my understanding it was only offensive spells that you could not cast while timestop was up, but defensive(buffing/healing) spells were ok. I was fine with no spells at all untill I saw that someone else was able to cast while their timestop was in effect.
So in effect . . . to be continued untill I get off work tomorrow.

From what I have seen and tested no spells or items that generate spells (including heal potions) will work in a Time Stop. What I have seen work, is somebody enter a map that has been timestopped and be able to cast in that area while everybody else is still stopped. It is nice to be able to have your allies unaffected by Time Stop if you spend the feats for it but as it has been said Time Stop is not an offensive spell anymore.

We'll try something with ethereal effect (sanctuary, no save), I'll try to get something in to play with before next reset.
I like freezing stuff, but see it as a combination of too much work to get something I can live with as well as not being entirely possible because of the way the game works and more importantly fails to work when make the dedicated server cry uncle.
Edit: next reset. Make the whine threads less funny so I don't get distracted too much and forget the time

cool. i hope we keep the essence of the new time stop. its such a well balanced spell now compared to its long and tortured history. not an i-win-button, and yet also powerful effect with strategic battlefield impact if used properly (as a 9th level spell should be.)

I saw this as well. I was dead at the time and had a clear view.

Any way you slice it now. Thanks to the devs for a quick response to what could have became exploitive (Im assuming the glitches was from simultaneous timestops).
We all appreciate you getting something new up in such a short amount of time.

This new version seems buggy as well. It doesn't work at all against mobs with Bioware True Sight even though it's supposed to be a "Time" effect. For a 9th level spell that doesn't do much else it should at least be a reliable get out of trouble free effect.

Greater Sanctuary has always been real buggy, especially the spell. Ive seen many times where I or someone casts greater sanctuary and its like nothing happened . . . . I would like to see a different change to this spell personally, Ive timestopped and been chased around while in "greater sanctuary" mode. As well have seen people cast timestop and could easily chase them down too. With a very limited other spells in the transmutation school, I feel the 3 feats I took on my wizard are a huge waste right now.
EDIT : Was strange I came here to post what MLoki posted, only to see that other people already agree.

timestop is a spell that should have been ripped out in the begining because there isn't much you can do with it.
