Since several of the current official guilds have either entirely vanished or are barely clinging to life, I'd like a guildmaster or forum moderator for each of the official guilds to send a PM to Chase or me sometime in the next week or so to let us know that your guild is still active; likewise, let us know if you believe your guild is dead and should be disbanded so we can free up one of the slots in your city for a new guild.

Remember, there can be all the unofficial guilds in the world; if your guild loses official status, you can play your old guild characters until the end of time. This merely reflects the perks of being official: a guildhouse, dyes, chests, and the like.

After we've gotten word back from everyone, we'll post any available slots for new official guilds in the various factions.

I've heard back from most of the guilds by now, and for certain we can say that LoD is disbanding and KST wishes to go unofficial by the decision of its leaders. Ergo, for the short term, there are slots opening up for new official guilds in the Shadow Legion and The Circle. It is also quite likely that TLB will be wafting off to the mists of history, so there may be a slot in the Last Alliance as well; we're awaiting official word to follow up a discussion from a few days ago.

New guilds are encouraged to apply for these openings. Just remember: at least five unique active logins (no double logins, consarnit!) and a willingness to be bound to your one faction for all officially tagged toons.

As a FYI, any guild that is removed from official status will be told days before their hall and other features are deactivated, in order to get any toons and mules out safely. We'll probably re-enable the Death Express for those areas, so extremely-overencumbered mules can get out quickly, but that has yet to be done.
