Defenders of the Relic Event : October, 2009

Greetings, warriors of Aetheria. Come one, come all, and participate in the bloodbath known as, "Relic Warfare!"
Send forth a call to arms, in order to defend your Faction! Enlist powerful warriors and allies, in order to oppose your enemies' Relic power!
To the Victor, shall be a statue proclaiming Relic Superiority!
Now, here are the details :
- New Change to the Event : There will be 3 Heats held. Each Heat will be a 3 hour period.
- 1st Heat : Friday, Oct. 2nd, 8pm-11pm (cst)
- 2nd Heat : Sat, Oct. 3rd, 11am-2pm (cst)
- 3rd Heat : Sat, Oct. 3rd, 5pm-8pm (cst)
- At the start of each Heat, a shout will annouce the beginning of that 3 hour period of Relic Warfare. The Relic counter in Avendell will be set to zero, and all Relics will be sent to their home cradle.
- Victory is achieved by having the highest number of Relic captures, as per the Relic counter in Avendell, after all 3 Heats have been played.
- At the end of the final Heat, an annoucement over shout will officially declare the victor.
- The winning faction will have the Defender of the Relic statue placed in their city.
- A reward will be given to the MVP of each faction actively involved in relic warfare. (A player vote in the forums will determine MVP's)
- Presently, The Ancient Ones are the proud and overbearing owners of the Defender of the Relic Statue.
- No Solo Multiboxing Allowed.

3rd heat would hit the 7PM CDT reset. Move back an hour?

Friday's results are something like 2 factions with 2, 3 factions with 1?
Still anyone's game and it seemed to be total pandemonium
My notes:
- MA epic guards are not that hard to kill, I do it alone. With halfogres. With really bad builds!
- Should have grabbed screens...but they probably wouldn't be that interesting without a lot of captioning.
- Current server can't handle this level of abuse
