Armor values?

For some reason, heavy plate armor (which has always been set up like this : base ac 8 / dex bonus max +1, then ac bonus's as you move up into higher quality / magic suits) in ns5 has a set up like this : Ac 6 / dex bonus of 1 or 2 (dont remember exactly)
I havnt checked out the other suit types, so i dont know what the number's are on those.
Is the lower base ac on purpose, or an oversight / error? Seems rather odd that "full plate" on ns5 dosnt have the ac that full plate has traditionally had. And since ive heard that there are no plans to give warrior class's ac amulets (although all the other class's have amulets that give bonus's to their primary concerns, mainly spell slots ect) then we really do need every bit of ac we can get

And are you thinking, at all, when ya make a post like that krom?
Full plate has -always- had a base ac of 8.
No reason for it not to be the same here. At least none that i can think of, outside of it being a bug or an oversight

Unless yer talking about a diff suit of mithral plate, the basic one you can buy from the vendor (lvl 1 armor) only has an ac of 6...

Yup the mithral full plate has only 6 AC. Then again it is much lighter than real full plate too, I think.

Yeah - full plate is supposed to be the standard 8/1 value. That'll get fixed...

So much love. Its overwhelming. I thought the +2 ac was a nice touch. Makes min maxing just alittle bit harder. Well until you get decent boots anyways.

These are the custom armor types we designed for NS5. The idea is to give folks enough reason to use armor in the middle of the spectrum instead of everyone gravitating toward Cloth or Full Plate. We are aware that some armor in-game is currently mis-categorized. Until they are fixed please leave feedback based on what you see in this table:
Code: Select all
FEAT REQUIRED ACBONUS MAXDEXBONUS ACCHECK ARCANEFAILURE WEIGHT
No Armor Feat: 0 100 0 0% 10 lbs
Light Feat (Mithral): 2 8 0 0% 7.5 lbs
Light Feat (Normal): 2 6 0 10% 15 lbs
Light Feat (Heavy): 4 2 -2 25% 25 lbs
Medium Feat (Mithral): 4 6 -2 10% 15 lbs
Medium Feat (Normal): 4 4 -4 20% 25 lbs
Medium Feat (Heavy): 6 0 -4 35% 40 lbs
Heavy Feat (Mithral): 6 4 -4 20% 25 lbs
Heavy Feat (Normal): 6 2 -6 30% 35 lbs
Heavy Feat (Heavy): 8 1 -8 40% 60 lbs
Heavy Feat (Heavy+): 10 0 -10 40% 250 lbs
(aka Mountain Plate)
