I would just like know if I indeed follow what the councilor LK of GoN asked of me
by sending out an apoligy through the shout channel as well as the on the forum,why
would he drill me on the subject afterwards? .....I don't get it.
Gil of Gon had appointed him as my mentor so I told him the times I would be on
four days in a row after Gil appointed him as my mentor he was never on so, then I finnally
seen him on, I asked him If i was not being concidered for the guild anymore, the reason
I felt this way was because that I had logged on for four days in a row and no sign of mentor
when I did see him I told him that he misreprensted himself. The point being is if
you make a commitment with someone especially if you happen to be a councler in the oldest most hornable guild
on the server you should atleast have the courtesy to not leave me hanging and then
when I ask about it get mad at me about a subjct that was cleared up by Gil and Russ.




A mentor/leader needs to know that its not about himself/herself its about the person they are mentoring,
and also needs to know that can and will make mistakes and be as willing to admit to them,as they expect others to do the same.

First off, this should have remained private between those of the guild and yourself. No one likes to have something like this brought to everyone's attention, it not only makes the guild look bad, but you as well, ok mostly yourself.

Second off, a mentor is NOT - I repeat; NOT - there to hold your hand. LK, Myself, Gil and yes even *gasp* Russ have REAL LIVES away from the game. Hence why it is just a *GAME* and you are taking it much too seriously. Something obviously came up or LK would have been present. By the fact that he wasn't present, and the fact that you obviously blew things way out of proportion, we are here by rescinding the invitation to join GoN. I would have preferred to do this in private, however obviously you cannot and will not be mature enough to see it remain such.

Third off, my dear, this is a GAME. Treat it as such. Please? For your own mental health and stability, try to remember that simply because someone says they will be there, and fail to show up, it might just be because something cropped up, not because they are not being true to their word.

Now; why he would drill you on the subject is to find out, perhaps, why you had to make the public apology in the first place. As his charge, it is well within his rights. Perhaps; on some off chance… you know, maybe just maybe he might have been able to assist you in coming to terms with the VoN and finding a peaceful resolution, or some such, but that is in the past now isn’t it?

My dear friend, you also need to take to heart the statement made. “Can and will make mistakes”. As I’ve stated, the mentor’s job is NOT to hold your hand and guide you through a sever you are supposedly proving your knowledge on, but is in fact there to guide you to your next challenge and to help *gee.. smell the concidence here?* with any problems that might arise. They are also there to assist, once your trial character is of a high enough level, in getting your triton and EC gear. Once more, they are NOT there to get the items for you, but merely to be there as a backup, while you gather the items. Let me make an example; if I were your mentor, and you were say 32nd level… you would LEAD ME through the steps in getting your EC Belt. It would NOT be myself taking you hither, thither, and yon while you gleefully take what is needed.

I feel I have made my point, and babbled more than enough. I wish you luck and much joy in your future proceedings, and no ill-will.

Lol, if noone cares about it, then why did you and others even comment?

While Jawbreaker may have been out of line posting here about an internal guild matter, clearly he felt moved enough to defend and clarify himself. I think Brianagfn had a point that this matter probably should have been dealt with in private pm's or on the GoN home forums. However, it appears to me that Jawbreaker sincerely felt wronged on certain matters and felt it was important enough to post here to defend himself. I don't know all the details of this event, and don't really care who is at fault because this clearly seems to be an internal GoN affair. I do know that Jawbreaker made a sincere effort to make an apology and amends. Regardless of whether he handled the issue correctly or not, to jump on and just bash a guy like that shows a level of immaturity and a lack of compassion. (Not you Brianagfn, talking to Armageddon here) Posting disagreement or responding where the poster might have been wrong is fair. Simply showing disrespect or saying that noone cares, seems flat out unproductive. If you really don't care, then don't read the post

OK Jawbreaker, let me shed some light on this for you and some others who felt compelled to post their thoughts on this subject. First of all let me state very clearly that I think Bri summed it up quite nicely, so I won't revisit any of what she has already said very eloquently in her post. The crux of the problem seems to be that even though we went out of our way to give you a second chance at joining GoN, you completely missed the point. In our little meeting with you on East the other night you were asked to make an apology to those involved in your dispute with VoN. You did that and we applauded you for it. What you seem to have missed then and even now is your second chance was in the form of a month-long probation period before you could proceed with making a quest toon and starting the actual process of becoming a member of the guild. It was stated quite clearly and I recall you agreeing to it!! Since then you have sent me PMs, whined in the forums and gotten in an argument with LK in tells. To top it all off you then went to DM Sun Tzu and accused LK of harassing you, when in fact it was you harassing him even after he specifically asked you not to send any more tells. LK sent me all the screenies so I know exactly what transpired that night.
In short my friend, you are not GoN material. You are a loose cannon and apparently have some form of persecution complex. You seem to operate under the delusion that you can say and do whatever you want and then blame others when it backfires in your face. I'm sorry to be so blunt but that is how we see it. I'm about as forgiving a person as you will ever meet, so to get me to this point you can be sure you have crossed the line and left it so far behind that you can't even see it anymore! You possess the deadly combination of a bad temper and lack of self control and I hope you find a way to get those in check because they will probably bite you in the hindquarters in RL if you don't. I wish you well in the future and I hold you no ill will. If you see me in game I will be glad to help you if you need it, if I can, but please don't bring this subject up any further as I consider it to be closed. Further harassment of any GoN members will be brought to the attention of the DMs and they are already aware of what has been going on so tread lightly and show some respect for other players and all will be fine. OK first off I would like to apologize to the moderators DMs and members of this forum. This was something that was held between myself Jawbreaker and a few other GoN members and one DM. It should not I repeat should NOT have been brought out into public like this but since it has been and Jawbreaker has made another bad decision to bash me publicly then allow me to retort.

First of all Jawbreaker well again we find ourselves in yet another predicament. I am guessing since I asked you not to send me a tell ever again in game you thought that a public bashing was in order. Well let me say this...You've in my eyes completely destroyed any micro ounce of respect I had left for you at all. You posting something like this just shows how childish you really are. Even after I told you last night that the incident with the VoN members was forgotten you continue bringing it up and will not let it be. As I stated last night (and I do have screen shots of our full conversation in case you need reminding) I was still willing to work with you. Even though we revoked your application into GoN and I said I would no longer be your mentor I stated that if I saw that you truly wanted to work through this and any issues that you may have then I would be the first to vote for a reinstatement of your application. I said this even after you tried to insult me by saying I do not stand for what GoN stands for and that Russ was wrong about the kind of player I am. I also said this even after you further tried to insult me by telling me that I push you around and was never on. If you recall the night I accepted being your mentor I stated to you Russ and Gil that I had finals in school all that week and this week and that I do have work but I would TRY to be on if I could. I even told you that after my finals I would be on a lot more. I am sorry if you can not tell the difference between real life and game life and I am terribly sorry if your real life has become game life. It is sad if that is so and I would recommend that if that is the case then you should reconsider your priorities.

Now I could be just as childish and post a link to the screen shots I have taken of our conversation last night or just post the images and let everyone read them but then again I do believe in some privacy and will not put you through that kind of humiliation.

I really hope you work out any issues you are having regardless if they are your real life or game life. As I said in game to you last night when I asked for no more tells from you at all do not ask me for help and please do not speak to me what so ever or I will be forced to take more screen shots and send them to DM Sun Pros and if needs be Deputy Dog.

Its kinda ironic that everyone says that is just a game, but you take it to this lvl. you want to push me out thats fine I'v alrdy uninstall the game.

I will send aploigies tom proper ppl who deserve them, then I'm out for good.

All I can say is WOW!

I'm locking this thread not cause its bad but because all that needed to be said was said by those involved, actually way more then we the public needed to know .
