Level Progression

Is this the easiest way to level up? I always get a bit lost around 12-15 and 18-23, it slows down a lot.
1-12: Coastal Road, Rock Peak, Rock Peak: Mauseleum.
12-14: Menzoduran
15-17: Dragon Realm, Elementals (level 1)
18-23: Elementals (throughout), Sunken Isle, Undersea City
23-25: EC Run (left flame, repeat if needed)
26-30: Enslaved, EC Run (right flame), LP
30-40: EC Run (right flame), LP, Enslaved, Starfall.
Is this the quickest/most efficient way to level up?

It depends a lot on build and equipment.

10-15 in the enchanted forest works nicely.

if u get for example starfall gear plus weapons to...u can lvl in Isle Of dreams till lvl 13 ou 14 max....then "if" u have a ac like 55 and ab like 35 u can "try" to explore sunken..or get your self the linch key and rune from kutty and chose between elemental planes and Hall Of Dead..
btw did some1 tried to lvl in gustav crypt ???? loooong time i don't go there...
or even in Haddon Mirk

It really is *highly* dependent upon build and gear. Assuming you have uber gear and a nice build, it still depends upon type of build. For example, for casters, there's several areas where particular spells and combinations of spells completely pwn. A fighter might level slowly in an area because the mobs are crit immune, but a cleric or mage would level quickly because of a vulnerability to a spell or low saves. Conversely, there's areas where mages just get wailed on, but in which fighters do very well. It comes down to knowing the mod. Just as there's no build that will be generally UBER for every epic area (yes, there are some that do well everywhere, but no one build does every area quite as well as the ideal build for the area), there's no general ideal leveling area progression.

Personally, I like to get the first 5-6 levels in Highlands, mobs are easy to kill with 720xp payouts. If you have Exotic Weap Prof. Then your life quickly becomes much easier as you get the Minotaur's Demise (Dire Mace that casts the wonderfully useful Creeping Doom 1/day) as a 100% drop from the Mino Chieftan. The mino Hide is decent armor as well and worth 57k to sell to boot! From there I hit the Isle of Dreams until the XP falls to around 300xp per kill then go rule Sunken & Undersea until it quits paying out. Of course just doing that for XP gets a mite bit boring. That gets you right up to 20 or so, from then on, your guess is as good as mine.

I generally start with South Road through the Orc tunnels to Duegars, I work the Duegars until exp drops to around 400 apiece - usually about level 9 - then I work my way to menzo, do Drows for a couple levels, head upstairs to get my undermountain rune, by then I am up to maybe 13, I continue on to bridge to the vale or maybe dragon realm which i do until I am level 15. 15-18 is good at elementals or sunken or HOD, and depending on my equipment its looking like I can head to LP soon as my AB exceeds 35 or so.

I'm a little disappointed that Giant Mountain and Giant Fortress is not mentioned. That is one of my favorites. If memory serves, you can get 400-500 xp per kill from 23 to like level 30 in the fortress. AND it forms a nice loop, with lots of nice drops, (albeit extremely heavy). Then you can go on to your EC loops, with ftr. LP for mages.
If you are levelling a ftr of anykind that area just off of undermountain where you get the queens corpse is awesome around level 13 to 20, and serves as a nice jumping-off point to Giant Mountain. Plus, the shortsword, and weapon drops from Uruk Hai, and Orcs are nice selling items, you can get a bunch of them, and they are very light for you dexers out there.
Once you get to Giant Mountain though, the gear sells for about the same, but they are usually huge heavy flails and such, which can weight 15.0 pounds. Even with bags it can fill up your load reqs quickly, whereas the shortswords are only 4 lbs.

I'm at level 19 now and I'm having a tough time doing anything. I've been grinding on greater elementals and I can't seem to find a new place to go.
Everything I come up against either tears me apart in a few blows or can't hit me and I can't hit them, or I do piddly damage and it takes forever.
It's been a year or so since I played last so I'm not sure what to do.

10ftr and 9 WM shouldnt hang out in Elemental Planes (personal opinion but i think this is bettah for mages). Go to Undermountain and do the queens quest, its a lot of fun. You should easily pick up some XP there.
Go back to the Nexus, then look for a 'double-bridge', on one side is a transition area that has all kinds of kewl colors. DONT go there. It leads to the EC Loop. Go left instead, towards the other transition. This transition will take you to undermountain where you will encounter a puzzled ghost wizard I believe. Go past him, and the portal area in the middle of the map.
Here there are three doors all leading to different places. Be sure to make use of the 'map' usuallly toggled in the upper left-hand location. Go into the center door. There you will find a dwarf king (ghosted of course) who will set you off on a mini-adventure. Go through the door, and you will finds tons of stuff to kill, and with your build you should be fine.
After determining if you are getting decent xp or not (prbably not) go to the far side of that map, and transition again. You will find yourself on a bridge. Follow this bridge all the way to the end, and transition again. You should find yourself at Giant Mountain. There are (correct me if im wrong) three different kinds of giants here. One of them has great xp bumps. Follow this map till you reach an entryway into the side of the mountain. This will take you into Giant fortress, where I think the xp is great.
I hope this helps you and anybody else who may need a little nudge. IF this doesnt help you, see me or any other (CN) guild member. They will be happy to take you in the right direction.

Hi Fangorn long time no see...
Anyways I've tried Sunken damn monks rock my world, Hall of the dead, can't even get past the bridge giants.
The Elder elementals have too high of ac for me to hit regularly and take ~10 minutes to kill just one(they can't hit me enough to overcome my regen).
Giant Mountain sucks too as 2 giants kill me in about 20 seconds. I can't remember where Path to Lost Paradise is.
I can kill the Uruk Hai pretty easily and I've done the little Undermountain Queen quest. (what's the rune for?) after the orcs I found some four-legged things that hit me pretty hard and I couldn't get past them.
I think I'll just keep grinding orcs and maybe in like 4 levels I'll try somewhere else.

Not sure what these are, unless you are talking about trolls. Yes they can hit hard, and without the right set-up can daze, and stun you whily Uruk Hai hammer away.
Sounds like you have a gear problem. Unless you are (MT) tagged, I would be more than happy to try and help you out. Look me up tonight.

Eh I'm actually on North, but I looked to this thread for a little guidance.
It only took me a day from 5-19 so I might make a character over there ya never know.
It must be a gear problem I guess.
