Triton Quiver.

as a suggestion building on what's going on in a separate thread, how about a new item: a "Triton Quiver" that once per day can create 500 Triton arrows (possibly nodrop).
you could trade in a goop for it just like everything else, and then be assured that your triton bow/crossbow/sling will always do Triton class damage without having to camp goops or hoard neversummer arrowheads across all your toons.

I'll have to look into that, non drop arrows, bullets, or bolts. Not sure if you can make a projectile non-drop as you'll never be able to shoot it.

oops, yeah, arrows that you could only shoot at yourself would be the worst suggestion ever.

I too would love a way to get more arrows, I think we might see a lot more archers on NS.

^^^ LOL... funny...
I don't have a clue when it comes to scripting and such, but how about "non-pickupable" as opposed to "non-drop"?
This wouldn't work on regular tritons because you can get disarmed.. but for projectiles/quiver, I don't think it would be an issue. As long as there is some way for the triton script to get it into the PCs inventory and have it usable from there, you should never have to pick it up from the ground.

as a matter of user interface i'd suggest against that.. you could drop a ton of things not knowing you could never pick it back up until it was too late (unless you camp the boards). better to head that off at the pass by making them nodrop if possible ( a more intuitive method for the same result ). although in the case of this suggestion you could also make the arrows item-level-restricted 23 to avoid the worst problems.

I can't recall which items, but I know we've had some things that were "non-pickupable" in the past... maybe it was just level restrictions...
nevertheless, you could warn the player in the Smith dialogue that the item was non-pickupable and perhaps include it in the item description as well.

I've been thinking about a "bottomless quiver" as an item for a new secret store somewhere. More on that later, Pros and I will have a chat.

Not sure if maybe this might help, but I noticed the runes for LP were tied to a particular character and others could not pick them up, maybe there is a way to do the same here? The original character could drop them all they wanted but no one other than that could even pick them up.

I think the Crest Sceptor thing you get on the DWP run with the rez's, chicken egg, and Improved Invis works just like that.
You can sit it on the deck, but, no one else can pick it up. Wish I knew more about scripting to help.... but being from Texas if it doesn't have pictures than I'm in trouble. They didn't teach us how to read... lol

Don't know if this helps, but I used to DM a HCR server called 'Epic Sagas of Nordock'. They had a (i believe) a non-drop arrow/bullet bag. Each one cost 1 million gp's (which on HCR is unbelievably expensive) but the bag would generate the arrows, (which were dropable) but the bag was a non-drop. Once a day, (real time folks not just every rest) you right click, 'special function' generate (create or sumpin can't remember the command) arrows, and boom 250 acid arrows appeared in your inventory. Not sure of the scripting on it as I never messed with it much, but it was a nice little gizmo.
The bag was specialized. So if you wanted fire arrows, or implode arrows, or such each one was a bag which cost 1 million. So it was quite a hefty investment for your AA, but well worth it. If only they had Tritons...hrmm now thats an idea.

Personally while we're on the subject, I was sorry to see the Pershings and ERAs get nerfed. It was so much fun to solo G1, but I understand the need for balance in the game.
