Well if a low level character picks up something that's too high level for them, it drops on the ground and can be lost to the void when they leave the map. Some of us aren't really comfortable putting level restricted stuff in the db, but still want to donate it.

Easiest way to do this would be to put a box in EC (lvl28) and one in the dragon lands - actually, Kutty's treasure boxes could be used.

A DB that only accepts items up to level 18 and another up to 28? Server reset cleans them out anyway. I'm not following what the question is. Is this so a low character can take something from the level 18 DB without worrying it will drop and disappear?

Wouldn't have to be a special chest. Even a regular chest with a name like "level 18 donations" would be fine. It's mainly somewhere to put level restricted gear for other people to take without worrying about someone who doesn't know it is level restricted trying to take it and losing it.
