Donation box issues (SPECIAL NOTE TO DEVS/DMS ATTACHED)

as we all know theres a handy little box for new players called the donation box, but in my 5 years of playing NS, ive come to notice a few things. firstly, the donation box is NOT WHERE YOU DUMP YOUR TRASH!! theres a perfectly good brazier labeled trash can or something like that on the other side of the server rules board. secondly, most people that are using the donation box are probably not lvl 18, so please dont stick stuff like weapons from the giants fortress in there. if anyone has gear that they dont need, try doing a server shout (or party call if a server party is active) if anyone needs a (insert item here), meet in NS or soemthing like that.
(to the Devs and DMs)- while making this post ive come up with a few ideas- 1, a lvl 18 donation box and lvl 28 donation box, 2, edit the donation box scripting to have items in db not disappear on reset (if possible).

With the junk that regularly gets dumped in there, we are probably better off having it cleared on a reset.

Having maximums and minimums on different donation boxes would be nice for determining the level of an item without the whole business of trying to transfer it to a low-level toon, and losing the item when the low-level toon takes it out of the box and drops it. That's an expensive way to learn the level restrictions -- it would be far less annoying to have the item be rejected if it is put into the wrong box, and would penalize the newbies less for being newbies.
(Plus, someone learning the server would have a sort of implicit quest -- get all the different sorts of items, and then figure out what level they are.)
The boxes presumably don't have to be colocated -- NS box could be level 1+, add a box to the CiC for 18+, and add a box to EC for 28+.
(Alternatively, two additional ways to handle level-restriction: first, annotate the item name with a symbol indicating the level restriction, such as a bullet for each "level" (1, 18, 28, 38) added to the item name; or, second, let any character *carry* any item, but if the item is level restricted, disallow it from being equipped *and* double (or more) the base weight of the item.)
