I tried giant fortress for the first time last night. I cleared out the Giant Fortress main area, but never found a key for a locked door (that I assume leads to the rest of the area). A friend of mine told me that it could be found in the area immediately to the right of the entrance. I went to this area (which was a small little nook with some colored lights) and found nothing. I waited about 20 minutes, re-entered several times, etc etc. The other bad guys respawned twice, I believe. I was never able to locate the key for that door. I logged back in early this morning to check again, and there was still nothing in that room.

I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong or if this is broken, but I wanted to mention it.

Just down the hall on the right from the room with the pretty lights is another room with the mob that drops your key.

This is incorrect. The small nook to the immediate right of the entrance is where you end up after clearing the fortress and using the return portal.

Giant Fortress is not bugged. Look for the big giants Alaric and Gaiseric. Their respawns are a bit longer than the mobs.

Hmmm... okay, I'll check again. However, I ran through the whole area a couple of times and never saw any uniquely named creatures.

Coulda just been the respawn time though...

I know Alaric was there. Moody Loner, Harbinger got stomped by him.

what is a good level to go there? lower i assume or atleast that is what it used to be but is a higher level able to get some x there too? like even a lvl 15 will they get good xp?

I was getting decent xp at 21.

i went up there and found the light room and there was nothing in it
