Envisioning a large population base for ns5?

It seems that most of the NS community dont even HAVE the machines to run nwn2 (so therefore dont even have the game)
Think that NS5 will be the less-populated of the 2 worlds, even after all the testing / tweakign is done, and we roll out the full, official release? I pop'd back into ns4 (after a year + hiatus.. maybe popped in earlier then today, but i cant remember) and i was talking to people who JUST now discovered ns4, or people who dont even have the machines to run nwn2, or complained about how sucky nwn2 was, so they are sticking with nwn1 (and thus ns4) ect.
Granted that Ns3 still used nwn1, so the transition from 3 to 4 didnt require a whole new core game or more powerfull pc.. but still.. i would have thougt that more people would have gotten better pc's by now, and more could start playing ns5 with us early adapters

I was a single player NWN1 fan that played through the OC and expansions at least 10-20 times each. When NWN2 first came out, I got it. My PC at the time didn't run it well and so I shelved it before even completing it. Flash forward to about a year ago when I got a new blazing PC and I installed both 1 and 2. I had already been on NS4 for about a year, so I didn't really invest too much time into NWN2 OC in single player with no expansions and I really didn't like the camera, gameplay, and pace (slower it seems). I was always just happy with a NWN1 as an emulator for a familiar version of AD&D.
Out of nowhere NS5 becomes alpha, but I would need to get the expansions, which means I will prolly have to buy the entire Diamond/Platinum/Uratoolium set. And I'd probably have to hunt for it
