I thought I'd post my view settings on here because the default settings are so akward.

This to me is the most similar setup to NWN 1

I'd be curious to know how others might be setting up theirs however.

I'm still playing with this, too. Anybody found a way to highlight everything i.e. by hitting tab as in NWN1?

@ Ajantis: If I use that turn speed using mouse I would just spin around so fast, I wouldnt know where to go. Besides making me dizzy :). But no matter what I do, it's still too fast.
Have to check the rest.

Already told you, hit Z. Might want to see the keyboard keys under options :).

I use Exploration mode myself, this is how I have it setup.

I use exploration mode too, it lets you rotate the camera without rotating yourself.

Well after some testing, I had to change the way Ive been playing NWN completely.

I use now WASD as the camera movement and the mouse to click where I want to go. WASD for the usual movement is not a good option at least for me (but Ive heard there are servers discouraging the use of it, as it may cluster and cause lag).

And I found out how to attack the targetted monster without clicking on it:
on the third line from bottom you will find "Perform default action on target" which as default doesn't have any key applied. Apply a key at your leisure et voilĂ , after targetting with \ or TAB you will attack, but beware as those monsters usually don't come alone, and you will rush into a lot of problems :)
