Neversummer 5 Screenshots are going to be a regularly updated feature here, so in the tradition of the old Neverwinter Wednesday we have renamed this thread from "NS5 Publicity Shots" to "Neversummer Sunday". Expect to get a new sneak peak of the upcoming Neversummer 5 PW here every Sunday as time permits.

This week's Neversummer Sunday is a day late (I was traveling). I'm sure that the wait was well worth it - here's an area that is completely new to Neversummer players.

NPC Spotlight - Mayor Olcán



Respected and admired by the majority of Oltonor, Olcán’s ascension to the status of mayor was nowhere near controversial. A seasoned adventurer in his own right, Olcán’s instincts are trusted to lead and defend Oltonor in any case of danger. Although such cases are few and far in between, Olcán takes his job seriously.

A survivalist at heart, Olcán believes only what he can see and feel in the physical realm. This has led to his adamant disbelief of the fabled Shattering. Aligning with his influence, the villagers of Oltonor have also adopted this mindset and the Shattering is simply disregarded as a fairy tale in the area. Over the years, Olcán has tolerated those who would believe these myths, and has learned to simply redirect any mystical occurrences to the care of the town’s Jeweler. With uncertainties such as these out of sight and out of mind, Olcán’s duties are narrowed down to maintaining the peace and investigating any outside threats.

NPC Spotlight - The Jeweler



An odd little man who spends the majority of his days inside his shop, the Jeweler is a peculiar citizen in comparison to the other inhabitants of Oltonor. Despite his peculiar ways, the Jeweler is relatively more trusted than any other foreigners not born in Oltonor. A scholar with a deep interest in ancient knowledge, it is possible the Jeweler once put this knowledge to the benefit of Oltonor in order to gain the trust of the inhabitants. Of any such instance, nothing is recorded, for the Jeweler's privacy is respected and questions are rarely asked concerning his hobbies.
