Type of Feat: Metamagic
Prerequisite: Cast 1st-level spells *see note!
Required for: Automatic Still Spell
Specifics: Still spells are cast without a somatic component. Any penalties incurred from casting in armor do not apply to a spell prepared with this feat.
Use: A Stilled Spell occupies a spell slot one level higher than normal and is not subject to arcane spell failure.
Note:
- none of arcane spell failure is added on armors now.
- But the shields still have arcane spell failure on them.
- A deafened arcane spellcaster incurs a 20% chance to fail any spell he or she casts that is not cast with still spell.
- lvl 2 bards and lvl 1 sorcerers can take this feat even if their casting ability is too low to actually cast a level one spell
