There are many types of slaves, each one weaker than normal from tiring work and terrible living conditions. Slaves will throw themselves at enemies of Sleeth without a thought, knowing that death is their only release from their terrible masters. They can also be commanded by followers (of high enough rank) and disciples to follow them for doing their dirty work.
