First i would like to say Hail to all NWS community.

Second, i speak french, so sometimes i have trouble to understand your rules. I just wanna be sure that i'm ok to play.(i speak a little bit english tho)

I saw that we have to choose a Faction and a Deity. I'm a Cleric so it's important for me to make the good choice.
-I didn't choose a Deity nor a Faction. Is it possible for me to choose one without restarting a new character?

I saw that each faction are not neceserly on the same server or the same continent.
-How does it work, can i join another server with my character?

Finaly, i saw that we need HoU for specific regions.(I don't have HoU)
-What's the name of those regions?

Tkz guys.

When you start playing you have to choose a faction, it is part of the introduction. If you did not choose a diety, then you will get the default one for your faction. Read the documentation in the documentation forum for the details.

Welcome to Neversummer and have fun.

HotU is required for the planar areas afaik, but i'm not sure they've been implemented yet. But you should still be able to play most of the game. Think of it like EQ expansions though. They aren't required to play with the people, but there are advantages to having them.

[Edit:]

Oh, and about factions and servers. Ns4 works by stringing a bunch of servers together. So you have say, your main server and log on to it when first joining. But as you travel and get further away, you'll hit server transition points which port you to a new server. You could think of it as websites. One site you visit will have several links or areas within that site, while it may also have links to other sites. These will lead you out of the main site and into a related, but different one, which in turn have have more sites linked to it. Also, it doesn't seem to be linear, so that several server ports exist on each server so that you can explore and find shortcuts and whatever, instead of travelling a main road thru the servers. Hope that helps. One of the main reasons for this as i understand it is to keep server traffic and lag manageable. Which wouldn't be the case if one server had to support all of ns4's areas and its huge playerbase. This also allows for some servers to use different expansions or hakpaks, which is why, i assume, the planes will be on their own separate server.

Tkz guys for your help.

Pacific is NS3. NS3 is a totally different mod. :)

Pacific has all of NS3 on it. So does South and West. The NS3 servers are independent of each other.
