Part 2 - Attack of the Clones
V - Thou shalt not relog any character to exact revenge on a lost PvP fight, whether higher or lower in level than your original character. In the case of defending your faction city, this will be allowed if you do not change the faction of your original character. Relogging a character is not allowed in order to raise fallen comrades if the area around the bodies is still in the midst of active PvP involving the same players that killed you or your party.
VI - Thou shalt not relog any character during a relic raid, except to relog a defender character, unless a period of 30 minutes has passed since your last attempt with your original character. This includes any character involved in the transportation of relics.
I totally understand the thoughts and theory behind not venge logging. 100% I do. Agree with it to the fullest. But.
We are in a time where computers are in almost every house in America, and it's not uncommon to have 2. Or even just 1 computer but you have multiple Gamespy logins. Dual loggers can make these rules real ugly real fast. Since MD has dominated the relics so much lately we've seen frustrated people abuse this over and over. We kill one char, they log out and log another and come right back, most of the time on the same account, sometimes not, but we don't whine cause we'll kill that one too.
Then theres the dual loggers. They'll come logged in on one comp and try to raid. Like usual, they fail. So they'll lay there and log the other comp on and come and res themselves and attempt to raid with both. Thats no different from venge logging. If both comps are on originally thats fine in my eyes, they are both on. But it's real obvious to all the people who play enough and are "login watchers" who's who.
With the rule as it currently is, dual logging leaves too many exploits available to the person doing it and is unfair to the person that can't. So as crazy as I know it sounds, eliminate the venge logging rule and everyone, 2 pc's vs 1 pc, 2 log ins vs 1 log in, are on equal turf.
I know, I know, what about the new players who don't have a high lvl yet to venge log with, well if they take the time to play and get out of their starting areas, that means they like the server, if they get to Ave where they finally meet up with a bunch of other players and win a battle against one, they'll feel good about themselves and smile and keep playing. If they see that person log out and back in with another char and he comes and whoops em, they'll be like "damn, that sucks. But I wrecked his lowbie
