Binding Points
I searched for prior posts on this and failed miserably to find any so I decided to make a post and ask. I just wanted to know why everyone is allowed to bind at the dragon location in the Wastes of Angmar but not at the dragon location in Beryn? The binding point in Beryn is faction specific, so why not make it general or make the one in the Wastes faction specific?

I'm not sure if you noticed, but there are NC guards and an NC Quest NPC in Beryn. Beryn's an NC settlement.
Now,with that cleared up, are you proposing that Beryn be turned into an extension of Ave or that the Dragon area in the Wastes gets turned into an MA settlement area with guards? Personally, I don't see the latter happening as it affects NC Jobs.

Why do you think I am bringing it up and asking? Hmmm.. the fact that every time I get off the dragon I get attacked, and there is no place to bind in the area for a trip to Zons has completely escaped my attention. You are right, maybe I failed to notice. I therefore must not have made this post to begin with.Mythri Wolfwood wrote:I'm not sure if you noticed, but there are NC guards and an NC Quest NPC in Beryn. Beryn's an NC settlement.
Where do you see anywhere in my post about making settlements or affecting NC jobs?Mythri Wolfwood wrote:Now,with that cleared up, are you proposing that Beryn be turned into an extension of Ave or that the Dragon area in the Wastes gets turned into an MA settlement area with guards? 1. Dragons are suppose to be neutral, and that is why I am asking why one is in a specific faction's area.
2. There is a binding point allowed for everyone at all dragons except for the Beryn dragon.
This is a topic that deserves to be addressed if it has not already.

I apologize for misinterpreting your post. So, given the Beryn dragon is in a faction settlement, you'd like it moved elsewhere. If that is the case, I would propose a move west, towards NC (say maybe Hallowtop or Eyre Lake Road). Why? Because it's already far away from NC as it is.
As for adding a neutral binding point in the vicinity, I'd say there is a good reason there aren't any. Many binding points exist in the vicinity already, each located within an NC outpost. This may seem unfair, but nothing prevents anyone from making an NC or TC toon and using these bind points. Practically the entire area west of Beryn is part of NC territory. The way I see it, it's a perk for NC, just like the Pech tunnels are a perk for RK and the lack of class/alignment restrictions in LA a perk for LA. If anyone wants to save some extra gold and time when visiting Zons, by all means, make an NC or TC character and you'll have that luxury. Even without this perk, it's a few extra screens difference between the bind point in Ave and the bind point in the NC outposts near Zons.
*Edit: Ramblings removed (I need sleep)

Indeed there are more pressing matters to be sure. In truth I am just wondering if there is a rhyme or reason to why they are the way they are. It might just be something that was an oversight, or there may be a good reason for it. Either way, it is simply a quest to gather more knowledge and insights into the NS4 realm, and possibly point out some minor areas that could possibly be improved or tweaked one day.

would that not defeat the hole purpose of the death express?
i thought it was put there to make travel faster for those who dont have time to run all over the world. its a perk. sometimes the dragons are killed and you have to hoof it. but none the less i belive thats why DE was put in.

If they made the oasis MA only, it wouldn't lengthen the travel time to Garagoth much for others, since they can bind in ave and take the dragon to oasis.
Sleeth and NS have quick access to their cities, but to get there the quickest you have to pay a toll.

I do agree that the tent should be an MA bind point. It is in the MA lands, and is part of the MA jobs. Beryn has a faction binding point for NC due to their jobs, so why does one of MA's job areas allow everyone to bind there? It's not right and it does not make sense. If it doesn't fit then you must acquit!!!

Let me tell about quick binding in FD is only 3 zones away from AO cradle and 4 away from LA. Mind you there is a toll. But still the dragon is 8 very large zones away from MA. I see how it would be very advantages for MA but its the closest bind point to rknexus which is a more pressing then the relicwar.LinuxPup wrote:It's interesting that you posted this, because I would love to see the oasis spawn point become MA only, so people who want to raid us will have to pay a toll if they want a quick route.

MA doesn't have any lands. Honestly, they're holed up in that corner of theirs they call a peninsula. Sure, technically its in their lands but its in a freaking desert. RP Aspects don't exactly apply.Gornickthy wrote:I do agree that the tent should be an MA bind point. It is in the MA lands, and is part of the MA jobs.
