best ways of Pking a Shifter

a bit ago a shifter died as a result of being PKed and the server crashed. nothing supprising there however to say that a shifter toon is ommited from being a PK target is quite silly so i ask you the masses what is the best way to PK said shifter without crashing the server?

my own limited exspierence with the shifter tells me that the crash occurs when the shifter dies in a form. at the point of death the shifter SHOULD reshift to his natural form the script or mecanics of this are tenious at best. death magic and other forms of rapid hp loss seem to confound the script or whatnot and it doesent fire thus the crash.

if there is no "safest" way to pk a shifter then there needs to be some serious thought on removing the class from the server. a sad idea to be shure but what else is one to do? ommit shifters from pvp combat? not fair to the other players and factions IMO. i know the staff has spent ALOT of time looking into this problem and so far found nothing or very little.

so agian i say whats the best way to kill a shifter with the least ammount of chance of crashing the server?

The crash usually occurs when the shifter respawns..... Normally shifters wo have been pked will shout "Hey i died shifted use your books" and wait for people to be ready.

But none the less there is no real way to "kill" a shifter properly

At times the crash occurs upon death. If you are shifted and you know you are going to die while shifted do us a favor and unshift. I have seen shifters trying to chug pots to stay alive when they know it is a loosing situation. If you are dying that badly just give in and unshift. Don't take it out on the rest of us.

I will generally log out if I am going to die with my shifter, I know it is dodgy but I do it to make sure not to cause a crash.

How dare you Merrip, what a dodge... Oh by the way thanks that is a good idea. I don't play them but I appreciate your effort that saves a lot of trouble for the rest of us. If the pker doesn't like it tough.

You can deshift quicker than logging out though.

I was referring to PvC, for PvP I will deshift, but chances are at lower levels with shifter, you are going to die a hell of a lot more by PvC then PvP.
