I'm looking at a cleric build that would benefit greatly from the stat buffs from the drow race. however the thing that concerns me most is the whole blindness thing. does it totally suck? what spells or effects trigger it?
also, does the cleric favored class take the sting out of ecl3 at level 30+? my last ecl 3 attempt was so incredibly boring to play past 31 that i abandoned him utterly.
recent drow hi level experiences?

I've made a Duergar which is very similar, a cleric as well. There are a couple of pros and cons.
Cons: The blindness isn't the bad part, sure, it sucks and sometimes its hard to ignore but its only for one round and if you're a cleric you'll be able to restore the negatives. The real bad part is the ECL of 3 you're looking at, when it comes to the higher levels it just makes it hell as you'll always find yourself falling behind your leveling partners who get ahead and cut even deeper into your already pitiful xp.
Pros: A few stat buffs, favored class cleric, and all the other good Drow bonuses that I'm sure you know of.
The ECL 3 will bother you more than the Light Sensitivity.
