NC The commander of the small Coalition outpost was interrupted while writing his report by screams outside. Without hesitation he grabbed his sword and ran outside. At first glance it looked like the guards had started fighting each other. Only after one of clerics covered the area in divine light and some of the guards fell dead did he see the horror. They were changed, not alive anymore just husks of what once was, they became everything the Coalition stood against, mindless zombies. The remaining guards were wide eyed and shocked for this was their family and they were forced to slay them. He grabbed closest bard. “Use your spells to hide yourself and get to Dearon.”
SL The Matron was listening to patrol updates when a badly wounded scout burst into her office. Rage filled her but, before she could strike him down he blurted out “Matron some madness is going on, a shadow seemed to pass us then some of the men fell only to get back up but...they were dead, undead now killing all in their path.” She kept the shock hidden; expressing emotions was for the weak. She gave a small nod and said it would be looked in to, the Shadow Legion fears nothing. She noticed the shocked look in his face, after a short pause she called the priestess in and order the scout to be put to death, there is never any excuse for a lack of manners.
RK Ragnar was taking his usually nightly stroll when he saw a soldier coming toward him. The dwarf was almost stumbling, his smile faded and the greetings died on his lips as once dwarf, now decayed and grotesque limped towards him. In an instant magic flames flew past his shoulder engulfing the creature. He turned to see one of the dwarven mages standing, the mage continued casting covering Ragnar with magical protections as he heard the footsteps on dozens of feet. His bodyguard surrounded him with steel keeping one eye to the surroundings and the other on him with the unspoken question, what was happening?
TC The forest walker stood on the bridge his usual patrol, when hundreds of animals were suddenly running out of the forest. He struck the warning bell and notched an arrow. His keen eyes could make out the forms, human, but he could smell the death, cursed undead. Just before he released he noticed more, they wore the same armor as he, closer they came and he could not believe what he saw, his comrades, lifeless eyes what had they become? He hesitated and in that moment he was filled with the arrows of the Forest Walkers. Within minutes the area was covered with magical ice and flame. Around his corpse stood defenders of Melencia, no one said a word they just stared in horror.
AO The disciple was bringing some slaves to the feeding ground when, upon entering could smell the charred earth from dragons breath. He cursed slightly thinking the wyrmlings had been causing problems again. As he rounded the corner he saw the baby dragons dead all over the place. Hearing another dragon breath he ran, a baby dragon was blasting its fire on what seemed to be bones that formed a dragon. The bone dragon opened its mouth and expelled a gas that seemed to suck the life right out of the baby, it fell dead. As the creature looked to the disciple, he shoved the slaves in front of him and ran to Sleeth as fast as he could never turning back.
MA The golem stood unmoving but always the vigilant defender of Garagoth. Some creatures were approaching. Its creator gave it the ability to sense those who oppose them. Without hesitation or emotion it went through its instructions, putting up some defense then showering the invaders with balls of fire. Several of the Watch nearby saw the fire and came running. Once the smoke cleared, the invaders still stood with protective magical shields, they saw the Watch first, giant hands appeared from thin air crushing them one by one to the ground then streaks of bright white struck each of the remaining Watch until they were unmoving. The golem was close enough to perceive the threat, it was some of the Watch but it knew they were an enemy. Going through its instructions on this event it turned and headed to the wizards tower.
LA Peppin finally sat down after a long day when a guard entered the barracks at a dead run. Peppin grunted as he listened. “Undead are at the gate!” He sighed, it was rare but the defenders could easily handle them, he told him with a dismissing wave of the hand. The guard looked cautiously at the rest in the barracks and leaned closer, almost in a whisper “The undead attackers are Ghaeles” Everyone froze for just a moment then chaos erupted as everyone was grabbing their equipment and running to the gate. The scene was revolting, dead all over, some undead ghaeles had been put back to rest again but their bodies had the decay of many years not moments. He saw 3 defenders fighting a last one. The ghaele blasted them with magic, sprays of beautiful color that caused blindness or instant death. Peppin and ghaeles he brought with him put the creature down for good. He could do nothing but look around, hoping an answer would appear.

Yes, how depressingly true.P. Fricebottle wrote:Of course it be the Ghaeles who'd turn on their comrades in death, the kill their comrades in life.

NC has come to these things unfold. In one of our smaller villages, the dead walked and acted with thought, capturing some of our civilians. After much effort, the guard of FoN with the assistance of our TSS allies was able to put down this first, and I suspect minor, scourge returning our civilians to safety. What more is to come, I do not know.
