It can't be done - only one prestige class allowed per character.

Hurray for a system which makes sense, multiple prestige = silly.

Silly? Howso?
I see no reason why multiple prestige classes are "silly".

How does an assassin sneak effectively w/o Sd lvls, and how does a sd have effective damage output w/o assassin lvls.

Combine it with a fighter class like I have :)

Rage, I don' t think it's silly as some players like to be "jack of all trades" and masters of none. They like the opportunity to dabble in a few classes. Just because they're prestige doesn't make them silly. It comes down to individual preferences. If we are all straight-jacketed into playing a handful of classes that stifles the fun.

I enjoyed playing my Bard/Pale Master/Red Dragon Disciple on NS3 she was a lot of fun to play. Not overly powerful but nigh impossible to take down and played very well solo.

Cheers

Why would you need Assassin to do extra damage? Rogue/SD or Rogue/Fighter/SD can toss out plenty of pain.

Alternatively, using knockdown or the Assassin's darkness and invisibility, you shouldn't need SD to get sneaks.

the assassins death attack does not work as the rogues sneak attack does...

you cannot get the death attack bonus from flanking or knockdown...only if your opponent is unaware of you (invisibilty, stealth, hasnt seen you yet, etc)

You would need one heck of alot of invisibilty potions to be able to use an assassin character very well on NS...

A rogue/SD on the other hand...you get sneak damage from flanking, if they are knocked down, etc...a rogue/sd can have one of the highest damage outputs in the game *cough* 30d6 sneak attack *cough*
