would this make giant mountain better??
everyone knows the best place to hit giant mountain is from Avendell. that town has the absolute closest rift shard to the place. i was thinking the other day on one of my many failed trips up the hill. i say failed because i went all the way to the bottom of the cave before i saw anything. would there be any way to put a rift shard in the deep woods?? there is a tent on the northwest side of the map with a friendly goblin in it, could we put a shard in there? like the angmar oasis tent? from what i have seen i don't believe most areas "clear" you out of it when u die and respawn to the other server. if this is still the case then it would account for why the mountain is empty so many times. if we could get a rift shard at the bottom of the mountain perhaps it would help with this. many people might consider using this shard instead of avendell just to save themselves the server jump. who knows, maybe the little goblin could buy stuff of equal value as avendell. that is just my suggestion i do believe it would help though.
when death comes for you and you are not afraid, if he asks why tell him you met me

This would only help if people would actually use it consistently.deathdearler1 wrote: from what i have seen i don't believe most areas "clear" you out of it when u die and respawn to the other server. if this is still the case then it would account for why the mountain is empty so many times. if we could get a rift shard at the bottom of the mountain perhaps it would help with this.
How about an intermediate spawnspot on the server where u actually died instead of spawning on the other server straight away?
Once u're at this spot u get transported to your real bind-shard.
It's like the transition u go thru upon entering NS4 thru the wrong server where you get portalled to the server where your character was last saved on.
I hope this is a usable workaround for the broken spawns issue.

they've obviously lost interest seeing as their already starting on a new project(ns3.5), they should either finish ns4 or scrap the whole thing and stop having people clinging in vain to a dead project.

I empathize with all the players being frustrated by a lack of updates, but please think about how the Devs feel. Would you want to work on a project whose players always complain?
Yes, the Devs haven't been very forthcoming with news about updates and that's a shame. However, I think if the playerbase would focus on encouraging the Devs maybe they will post an update. Positive reinforcement can't make things any worse...
I'm not sure if the smoke and lights in Avendell are part of an update or not (DM placeables?). In any case, it makes Avendell a tad bit interesting. Keep up the good work Devs!
