Crafting

I have a level 17 dwarf fighter/weapon master. I currently have master craftsman in armor crafting and I am trying to attain artisan. I have spent over 9000 XP in crafting master craftsman items but I still get the message "You need only practice your trade more to improve your skill".
Can someone help me with my I am not advancing?

How many levels of that is in fighter? Its looking at that not at your total levels, I think perhaps the problem may well be right there.

In going back and looking at the requirements, if you need to meet the min level required in pure fighter levels I shouldn't have made master craftsman either. My first 10 levels where in fighter and my last 7 in weapon master. If this was true I wouldn't have meet the min level required of 11 for master craftman. Is this a bug?
