Mod use

Me and a few freinds are thinking about downloading some mods and playing them through, but I have a few questions about how to use downloaded mods.

1. do we all need to download the mod?

2. does someone have to host the mod?

3. Are there servers that have some mods allready on, ready to go?

if there is anything else you think I should know please tell me.

Also if you know of some good mods that about 4 of us can play starting at level 1 and working our way up just like good old PnP let me know.

1 & 2 are knida tied together. If you are all going to be playing the same mod together then only one person has to download and host the server for it. For individual play, then each person needs a copy of it.

3 some are but most arent.
