Heal Kits

I've noticed that Heal Kits need ID'd now. I also noticed that the "old" kits won't stack with the "new" kits...or that's what I'm assuming since I have heal kits that won't stack for some reason.

Oops... fixed for next reset. They still won't stack with old healkits, but should be identified now. Healkits were redone to balance and fix them up more.

other than the messages, cant see any difference in what they do
but at least it tells ya now how much you healed

I thought it always told you how much you were healed.

it did kinda, but its a bit more obvious, and it act more like the enchanted bandages
rather than heal kits, but still not sure of what the big difference is

Last update from Linux: once a round usable, and apparently it was used to cheat death heh. Never seen that myself.

I've seen that, in low level play, well timed healkits get you back up, because of a slight delay in use and healing.

I was using some of the heal kits last night and I noticed that when my character was poisoned (thank you ogre spears), if I used a heal kit and failed the poison DC, it didn't heal any HP. If I used it and made the DC, it removed the poison but still didn't heal any HP, so I couldn't restore any health until poison free. I'm not sure if this is the intended behavior, but it's different from prior kits in that before one could heal while still poisoned/diseased.

Really? Heal kits are the problem, not running and greater resto? Because an item is involved we just ignore the skill points and feats that go into healing as part of a build?

so making them more controllable and keeping the time it takes to use one at a round while stopping ppl from bringing themselves back from the dead isn't balance?

also..what does irc have to do with anything?
