Advice please....

Hey all,

Been playing this server now only shortly and quite enjoying myself. Great community and well made server.
Been thinking about making another character and was wondering if anyone could help me out with the following:
-For undead summons how necessary and helpful is the SF Necromancy route?
-Can epic summons be dismissed/dispelled?
-What is in your opinion the best 2H weapon?
-Do Earth Genasi DR bonus and Epic Warding stack?

If you want a proper summon then you want either palemester summon, blackguard summon or a solar(Epic Dragon Kinight summoned by good aligned caster). They all benefit from different focuses and it can be researched in advanced summons guide on wiki.
PM and BG summons can't be dissmissed/dispelled and solar rarely can be dismissed by WoF but only if you don't have any conjuration focuses, if you do they become pretty much immune to it too.
In my opinion best 2H weapons are scythe and halaberd.
Earth genasi DR and Epic warding don't stack.

Thanks both for the quick replies. Why do you reckon the scythe to be the best 2H weapon, is it damage type, crits or the lack of good other 2H weapons available ingame? The 2d4 base damage seems low, although the crit multiplier does sound nice though.

Because it dose big crit damage and dose slashing and piercing damage making it herd to resist. If your a two hand weapon user your str based so the damage you do has to make up for the loss of AC for not being a dexer.

And the lvl 40 White Scythe might have something to do with it

A Halberd would be a good choice too if you don't have the feats to take exotic weapon focus.

The base damage on wepons can largly be ignored since thers so much bonus dmg on evry thing, the base damage is a small % of the final damage. The greatest thing abou the scyte is multiple damage types and a gret multiplier. Thers lots of damage resistance gear, and multiple damage types forces your oponent to have multiple protections on.

The White Scythe is also one of the few +8 enhanced two-handed weapons. Unfortunately the other two are extremely difficult to get. It is conceivable that you could acquire one of these and there would be some debate if anyone claimed it wasn't the best one anyway.

I really appreciate individuality. Unique weapon choices are really fun. But on NS4 there just aren't many weapons as good as the scythe. Hence you'll see a lot of scythers on this server. Probably 1 of 10 or more... Halberd has some nice offerings. It is the next best option in my opinion even considering the other two +8 2H options.

Ah the white scythe by far the most abused and over powered piece of crap item on the server.
With all the nerfs lately how has this been missed again i mean really Devs come on make the other 2-handed weapons useful.

I've argued with you in game but its damage ispretty much easily counterable , with vunerabilities on top .
I've seen you do more damage with your Abyssal Axe then me with my White Scythe hitting the exact same toon.
What you got against farm equipment anyhow?

I lowered the white scythe's damage when we last wiped the server

Maybe not nerf the white scythe then but bring the other 2-handed weapons up to the same standard.
