Problem with +2 Wisdom Book

I used a +2 wisdom book standing beside my riftshard. It took the book and the 5000 xp which took me from level 28 to level 27. the cutscene happened and then it relogged me. However when I check my wisdom it had not changed from 29 to 31. I tried relogging several times and nothing changed. This is the first time I have used a book since the Wipe. I understand if you do not replace the book or give me the wisdom, but I do not want to waste time getting another wisdom book and losing it again if it is a bug with my toon. Please help.

May sound crazy, but at level 28 did you perhaps put a point into wisdom and take great wisdom as a feat? By dropping back to level 27 you'd lose 2 wisdom because of that, even though you gained 2 from the book.

Thank You That is probably a correct analysis. I did take great wisdom and put point in Wisdom.
