How about a week of no complaining?
Now that would be a novelty.

i had made a post noting a similar idea, and right away two individuals slandered it and based their rationale on the fact that their join date was earlier than mine..... well !1!!!!111!noob!!1!! to them ..... i have since deleted what i said there....
however -
Lokar's point is quite valid.
and to glorify my 2,001 th post , i would like to enlighten you all with somthing somewhat constructive
there is a diference between posts, there are
spam, whines, constructive whines, complaints, constructive complaints, suggestions, and practical suggestions.... and IMO, only the last 2 categories are the ones worth mentioning... allow me to further ramble....when i am typing papers/reading documents i like to break away and come on the forum just to find somthing to talk about that doesnt deal with what i am resarching irl.
anyways : the categories explained:
please be open minded with my examples that i give....and my points may be proven depending on how people reply to this post

after all this is the

thread.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Spam so irrelivant that no one pays any heed, hence it is why spammers have a shrine to call home on the o/t forum and it has no influence on game aspect whatsoever, therefore spam is the most harmless of posts....common example: "!!1!oneone" or "i like pie" are forms of spam.
Whines: a whine is a crude form of a complaint, usually somthing very simple and personally biased that can lead to flaming threads and never results in any change whatsoever. even a spam post requires more intellect than a whine post... common example: "someone PK'ed me" , or "someone stole my relic".
constructive whines: a whine which runs for more than 10 lines or more than 1 paragraph, but has the same definition as the above standard "whine"
complaint: is usually somthing with a justifiable basis, and at times can be valid; but poorly constucted complaints are often construed as whines... recent example example: "why is my relic in Frostdale"
constructive complaint: a complaint which cites examples and has the backing of multiple people. if a thread involving a constructive complaint stays on topic, it may attract attention of the higher powers and might recieve in-game attention in the future... somewhat recent example: RK relic-transportable tunnel thread.
suggestions: at times can be northing more than practical complaints, however suggestions are the way to propose a change , and are your best method of recieving attention. However, there are some suggestions that are silly such as : "stores should be 24-hours" especially when this is a PW mod......Suggestions can be discuised as very biassed or singular - and these should be seen as nothing more than complaints. Suggestions are still generally the most popular type of threads - such as spell modification or gear level caps, bug fixes etc....but at the same time, these threads can be littered with individuals posting personal prefrences rather than suggestions which would benifit everyone.
Practical Suggestions: The ideal posts. Posts which show thought and practicality within them. These are the types of ideas which i would think the devs would enjoy seeing... a suggestion can be considered practical when many players can agree on a general item and continuous constructive input is given. Practical suggestive threads are the gems of this forum and should be enshrined in a glorious archive for all time. Recent practical suggestions would include: zing's post where he mentioned completinon of all faction jobs - for this will allow all factions to reap unique benifits of jobs.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
so now to conclude - suggestions are a necessity in a gaming community like this - they keep the boards active and ideas flowing....a suggestion would be to think and maybe even resarch before you post, and if you are thinking about flaming about somthing, maybe you should have a beer or 10 and then reconsider that post , rather than creating needless posts...
ideally our goal as a community would be to attract new members to the forums and even some of the current people who game with us but havent bothered joining the forums.... we need to show that we can be consturctive rather than being a bunch of whiners or nerfers that argue some topics ad nausiam...
we are no longer beta - and many of the concepts in place have been in place for a long while, yes some changes are always good , however extreme revamps are bordeline insane.... again - we are not beta -- we are an established server, and changing certian factors can throw off many peoples play styles, and can even drive them away from the game. i am not saying change is a bad thing, but we dont want to go overboard.
it is time to move foward into ideas and developements rather than dwelling on
too many past changes/modifications ..... let the dust settle and play the game... in the meantime, we can leave our dev team to devote their available energies to progressing this world we call home, such as the addition of new aspects into the games.....
running in circles can lead to insanity

but to conclude i do not wat to sound like i am against people making suggestions

now that my bizzare lesson on thread analyzation is complete, i must say i enoyed writing it

now i have the incentive to continue my paper on "holocaust education in New Jersey" ..... i will provide beer and liquor to all who need it if they have a headache from reading my rambles
