Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

I hate to be a hardcore about this, but it IS a PvP server, says so very plainly in the description, we don't beat about the bush when u come on as a new player....

If you want a mod where ppl don't PK 40th to 1st EVER, ns3.5 is a very friendly place/ boring / but friendly and no PvP. Ever.

So. You can either have FULL PvP, with all it's nasty little bits like a 40th killin 1st's cuz he tortures flies and puppy dogs in real life, OR u can have no PvP at all.

Logistically, there isn't any middle ground.

Right or wrong, life is the way it is, not as we wish it to be.

OK,

i get it and i got riled fot the wrong reasons i think. I was under the impression that you would loose xp and gold in the same way as a normal death.
If thats not the case its half as bad.

Still a bit pointless killin lowbies.

KK I aplogize to everone offended, evryone who knows me a bit should know that i am normally a well mannered and helpfull player.

Won't happen again (I hope)
Right, long live the Swifts !

Korr, I've wondered about that as well. I know you are correct that before the wipe you would lose gold (not xp) in PVP no matter where you were . But I also thought that only applied if you were within a few levels. But since I've not seen it one time post wipe I just wonder if it is no longer in place or if I just haven't had a fight with someone near my level.

Curious.

...

Riton, Hang in there sir. There is a saying:
Some days you are the pigeon
and some days, the statue

All days won't be as bad as the one where you've discribed. Other days you'll be in a great party with friendly folks and you'll have a great time. Its just part of it a PVP server to have the bad and the good.

The first few PK's (for me) were very annerving and they seemed vengeful and disrespectful and immature. As I played more, I started to find ways to get over it quicker. Sometime's I'd see someone and instead of fighting i'd just go get a drink. Come back and I'm dead of course. Respawn and go on. Since I volunteered to not fight it didn't feel so bad. Like Kim says it only costs you a little time to get back to where you were. The quicker you can blow off the steam and get on with what you were doing the quicker you'll feel better.

Additionally, I've had very good luck with this. If I felt like someone was going to kill me again, I could simply ask them not to. Of course, sometimes I'm told to go to jump in a lake. Other times they tell me to go to another area. But most times they've actually agreed to not kill me again and I wind up with a friend. I know I was surprised to find that a friendly tell generally initiates a friendly response.

Like Korr and many others I'll be happy to help you in game. Take care,

I have personally witnessed VERY inappropriate language over the shout channel only twice, but I have to say that the DM staff dealt with the problem swiftly and fairly both times. It is very disrupting when the bad language happens over shout and it does not accomplish anything constructive for the person doing it. Instead of frustrations coming out in bad language, take screen shots of your action history and conversation history and send them to a DM if things are going badly. From what I've seen, Bad Language = Immediate Ban and that's probably why I've only seen it twice since playing here.

That sounds a lot like me, but I think generally people don't pk me again because they know they're stuck with me talking to them again if they do!
