Quote: Disarm: The character can attempt to disarm an opponent in melee combat. Attempting a disarm applies a -6 penalty to the character's attack roll, and the combatant with the larger weapon gains a +4 bonus per size category of difference. A successful hit deals normal damage, and if the opponent fails a discipline check then the weapon flies from the opponent's hands. /Quote
Quote: Knockdown: A character with this feat can attempt to knock his melee opponents to the ground. The character makes an attack roll at -4, and if successful the defender makes an opposed discipline check against the character’s Attack Roll. If the character wins, the defender is knocked to a prone position.
Just to put my mind at ease I read these and have a toon w/119 discipline. Yet for the life of me I can't knockdown hardly anything at lvl 33. Merfolks resist me, ice giants resist me, dwarves (same lvl basically so I can understand), and pretty much anything on an elemental plane.
I know the disarm thing has basically been disabled on allot of monsters, but right now if I want to disarm something I either need to go for pvp or some real low area, maybe gnolls. Do these monsters really have that high dis or is there something I'm not aware of? oh this toon also has 35 str/40 if I can find someone w/a good bulls, so I doubt it takes into account str. (Except for bonus to dis)
Again just curious the schematics so maybe I can actually make a decent kd toon for pvm.
