However my favorite was Chubbs (the rogue/sd)... who got into the MD guild hall and attempted to steal loot during transfers, but instead made charitable donations.

I think pk-ing lowbies should be put into context. Jebbo put it correctly, this is a war, and targets of opportunity are part of warfare. I was always amazed when an MD lowbie (especially one of their new members) would be shocked that I pked them in passing, till I explained it wasn't personal, it was just that their guild was at war with everyone and so that was the price to be paid. I know I paid the price many times over for not bein an MD, which is not a complaint just an observation.

However, I was disgusted with the deliberate targeting and hunting of lowbies by MD, and then the repeated killings. They can deny it, but its true. Grimm had the gall to actually ask me if I knew where any DW's were at as they were hunting them. Is this okay according to the rules, I guess so. However they took delight in hunting down and making the lives of people they didn't like miserable. In a perverse way, I believe because of their dislike or judgement passed on one player or another, they felt justified in their actions, as exhibited by the comment "taking out the trash." Doesn't make sense to me and doesn't seem right, but that's a personal preference. Does such actions cause server numbers to fall. I believe so.

So pking lowbies sure, why not. Hunting, killing, disarming and taking weapons from lowbies? Well that just seems to be taking things too far and is a deliberate act to ruin the game play of other players. It smacks of a lack of personal decency. I don't care of you're RPing. I don't want people to "RP" true evil. There's enough of it out there in the real world without me having to deal with it in a game I come to play and relax in. I figure there are truly evil NPC's to be evil, I don't need people coming up with new and inventive ways to make others regret stepping foot on the server.

I get accused of stealing weapons from lowbies.... I don't however. Zing's script only allows the weapon to drop to the floor if they're within 5 levels.... so Jekyl can only disarm (and steal the weapon) folks of level 35+.

Well see there you go. I apologize, I took something that I heard and posted it as fact. It wasn't an accusation against you. More of just general anti-MD hysteria. You took 4 kamas from my high lvl cleric and although I was never happy about it, I never made accusations of unfair play either

Appreciate the clarification about disarming. However, I'm not discussing your actions in particuler, just general MD play. Its unfortunate because most of the deliberate targeting and hunting of lowbies had ended before the last couple of months, however, the moniker and accusations and general sense of distaste stuck, as it normally does. Its funny how people want others to give them a fair shake after being caught exhibiting "bad gameplay behavior". That isn't possible, the prejudice or pre-judgement, has already happened. It takes a lot of time and a complete turn around in behavior to erase it. However, their faction and credo/ethos made it hard for them to exhibit that turn around in behavior. This was exacerbated by everyone crying foul at the slightest infraction.

Dangit I got on my soapbox again.

Horse basically defined what I was meaning, the occassional lowbie pk if you happen across them no problem. But persistently making one's life miserable as MD did, and taking an area hostage that people use to lvl, killing them over and over and over and over and over......you get the picture. But nothing was done about that because they can kill you as many times as they want as long as you keep coming back. That's bs imho, if you want to go to an area to lvl you should be able to take your 3 pk's and go on about your day. But I digress before I upset anymore cat killers and babybeaters. Good day.

Hah! I remember one night, one MD hunted me down in FD and killed me three times, then another one hunted me down and killed me (presumably to skirt around the 3 pk rule). This was all within the space of about 30 or 45 minutes. Thankfully the second MD that hunted me down only decided to kill me once or perhaps he gave up looking for me.

Man o man, i never read all this stuff, but I made a post about this being a pvp server right. But u still whine and cry, when i was md I played and yes we had the relics most of the time, BUT you guys really needed to do more team work. It wasnt that hard, just need the right chars and the right attitude with co-operation. Man i coulda made 3 to 4 chars if i wasnt md and walked in and outa that place. Anyway, abck to the whining part.

I stioll dont uns=derstand why ppl cry cause they get pked, even a lvl 8 by a lvl 40. So what, this is a pvp server this is why i play here and like i said before why should the pker get in trouble cause someone whines too much, why doesnt the whiner get a ban warning cause he wont shut up. You lowbies have to just take the pk and respawn. When i played way back before the prewipe there were no rules here, but now they have the rules and u still whine even more, this just doesnt make sense. Anyway, im just rambling, hope ya lowbies have fun, cause im gonna pk by the rules, and if i see a lowbie that is red, he will die

Yes, but you and others are missing the main point/fact -- MD were on the server nearly 24/7, you take the relics and then what? waste 3 hours defending until you have to log off? not really getting anything productive done but some pvp play...

And don't forget, before tLB 'left', we went to garagoth a few times and took relics away with much fanfare at least a couple times, killing wave after wave of defenders, etc.... and -BB- did similar things many, many times.

The point isn't pk'ing, it's pk'ing to the point of being GRIEFING, skirting the rules getting guild mates to each kill the same people 3 times until they get frustrated and leave the server.

Personally, if I'm killed, I just respawn and go somewhere else for a bit, or just log off and switch to other toons elsewhere on the server. I personally never whine, it's part of the game. If I get killed by a 40, then I take down names and return the favor the next day...
