We having FUN yet ?
We having FUN yet ?
Oh yeah still looking in form the other side of the real world. Did things get better or worse since MD walked away. Because it was "OUR CHOICE". Are you having bunches of fun, or is the server really boring with no true Villians to chase, fight, hunt and defend against ? See that was the Whole point of being EVIL, to give the "so-called Good guys" a challenge.
Problem is just a handful of ppl fell very short and let a lot of good players down. So quite simply are you having more fun or less fun ? Maybe if you yell loud enough even a deaf God may hear ya.[/img]

^ and there is a point to this post right?
if your asking if its more or less fun to have a party of lvl 8's not be pk'ed on the mountain by a level 40 then yes the server is more fun.
if your asking if the server is more fun because people actualy follow the rules who play now, the yes its more fun.
if your asking if the server is more fun because people you do engage in pvp dont drink 900 heal pots then yes, its more fun.
if your asking if the server is more fun becuase there is more than Sd's and PM's to fight then yes its more fun.
guess your answer is yes

pvp is still prevalent, just a free for all instead of everyone against you. So its kind of fun cuz there's more uncertainty now.
The relic raiding is much more dispersed now, in fact last time I checked TC had the most caps (go figure lol). Though I was having fun anyway with you here. The game is what you make of it, so your questions and possibly ?taunts? are largely irrelevant.
However, on a personal note, I miss pvp with you guys
and anytime you want to come back especially you specifically, (I've seen just bout every one of the big names for MD cept you, Elbereth, and of course Genghis) feel free. Come raid NC if you feel froggy, it'll be like old times
. Which is to say we'll put up a fight and you'll eventually win, but the pvp action is what makes this game fun for me. Once you're able to get a toon lvled up anyway and can actually participate its a blast in my humble opinion.
Anyway, wherever you guys go, and whatever you end up doing, good luck to you and we'll hopefully see you on some other server someday. Or maybe back on this one. You MD invested a lot of time and energy on this one, too bad you got frustrated and decided to leave.
But that's on you and so to your general question of are we having fun, I already answered but I'll answer again, with a resounding yes

Actually, things have gotten much better since all of you left. We're noticing that there are days when a faction other than MA has relics, new guilds are forming, new players are trickling in and actually staying once they have played for a bit.
Back when Eb first approached me about an alliance between MD and CLAD, which I declined, Prime was full and Reflection was hovering around 15 players. Now, after MD has had their run and have chosen to leave, whatever your reasons, Prime often sits in the teens and Reflection is near empty. Not a coincidence as far as I am concerned, though I can't speak for anyone else's feelings on this.
MD was fairly successful at grabbing power on Prime. With players devoting 6-8 hours a day to play across most or all of the US time-zones you would have to try hard not to be successful. Speaking strictly for myself, more than a couple hours every other night is pushing it, so I don't know how you managed to do it and balance your jobs, relationships, school and health. That accounted for about half of the imbalance that ultimately lead to your guild being more closely examined by the staff, the other half being that Bioware made Pale Masters a bit over the top. They worked fine when you had a 20 level cap...with an additional 20 levels things start to get a little out of control.
If I were a new player getting on Neversummer for the first time, which happened often since it was one of the higher-population servers out there, I would pick up pretty quick on where the power was. Depending on my play style, and maybe my age, I could either try to fight this power or I could join it. As the acclaimed Mr. Brad Neely put it: "Everyone wants to be part of a club that stories are told about.", so is it any wonder that you recruited most of those who didn't decide to turn their backs on Neversummer after a pack of MD had pk'd them for the 13th time at level 10.
The only thing I think you've really proven is that Bioware Pale Masters are inherently broken, and that given enough of any wooly livestock you can eventually trample anyone. You state that you could come back in just as great of numbers as before, but since I know for a fact that some of your members have already joined other guilds how do you propose to do that?
You also say that there are no true villains left on NS. The fact is that when you don't have a constant 50% relic bonus and hours a day to devote to this game, it takes some time to get to a high enough level to be a menace. They are on their way up, and I look forward to the actual challenge that they will provide at higher levels. If you think that no one will slide to SL then that proves you've been paying attention to this game even less than I paid attention to your guild while you were actually a guild. However, you did ask...
So, in closing, yes. It's been much more enjoyable since you've been gone. If you stay gone, maybe more people who still play NWN1 on-line will find NS and we'll eventually build the player population back to what it was before you got here.
Have a nice day,

Hunter I thought I knew you better.
Theres a way NS4 operates, there are always villains. MD is no different, you pass away and the next group comes up to plate. From Okies to Havok to Death Dealers to MD, there will always be the villains of NS4.
If you think that the server revolves around MD and can not live without them antagonizing the entire server, then you're dead wrong.

LOL.
Here is something taken from the 3 Towns website that may prove germane to the behavior of MD and all of that ilk who preceded them:
The prime rule [respecting PvP] is:
Don't be a jerk. This is an action server, we want action, we don't want jerks. What is the point of killing a character many levels lower than you for no reason? Have you proved you are tougher than he is? Have you proved you are smarter than he is? Have you proved you are an "uber l33t pwning d00d!!"
No, you have proven you are a jerk.
Why do you need to kill someone over and over and over again for no reason? Have you proved that your cause is just and that the gods have named you the chosen one? Have you proved that you are have mastered building PvP machines capable of destroying all comers?
No, you have proven you are a jerk.
The Three Towns believe that some of the best monsters out there are PCs. They are unpredictable, they change their tactics, sometimes they even run when it makes sense to do so. They add intelligence to the dangers that are found in the Three Towns. So, be a monster, it is good for the Towns, it is good for the community. But don't be a jerk. Give others a challenge and take on the challenge. Be the hunter and the hunted.
This only works if you don't make use of meta-gaming or exploits, using these proves that you are not interested in a challenge or a fight but that you just want to pwn someone - in other words, it proves you are a jerk.

if the dms and staff agreed that killing a lowbie made you a jerk then they wouldnt have removed the level indicators on a person character story thing.
noone even looks at that anymore, and i still put time into writting a character background story for some toons. i was kinda disapointed that they removed that aspect of roleplaying, however they felt that level's didnt matter and we shouldnt know what we are up against.
not that you cant find out at login anyway.

The only reason to pk a lowbie is to fulfill some need of proving that you are better than the other person, however if you are not w/in 2-3 lvls of the person you just pk'd, then you have proven nothing except that you can't hang with people who are close to your lvl. As for the server, it is much better w/out MD. There are actually places you can go to lvl, and the shout channel isn't filled with idiots bragging about who has what relic. And I agree with 90% of the known population of any pvp server in pking a lowbie makes you a jerk, a jackarse, and quite frankly worse than the filth on my heel.
In conclusion I'm sorry to see anyone go, but sometimes it's for the best.

kain get over yourself,
RED EQUALS DEAD!
i dont care if your lvl 2 or lvl 40. we are at war, and there are causualties of said war, pk'in lowbies doesnt make you a jerk.
Taking over an area is perfectly fine. even if it is the mountain which i personaly dont care to do and have put down grimm for that didnt make him a jerk. that just made him a bored lvl 40. its the other stuff he did that made him a jerk, like breaking rules.

I hate to disagree but sometimes killing of lowbies is necessary especially when they annoy the crap outta ya. By way of shout, begging, general idiotic behavior etc., Ad Nauseum. If ya cant take the heat get outta the free fire zone. Lastly, I like to kill for the sake of killing, maybe thats the Old Corps in me.kain124 wrote:The only reason to pk a lowbie is to fulfill some need of proving that you are better than the other person, however if you are not w/in 2-3 lvls of the person you just pk'd, then you have proven nothing except that you can't hang with people who are close to your lvl. Your idiots. The only war your fighting is your ego, trying to raise it by killing lowbies. The fact that you got offended by it and put in red caps red = dead proves it. Bet you put cats in the microwave too for a good fight, or maybe snapped a snake by its tail, who knows. But somewhere along the way your senses got shellshocked into thinking that a good fight involves never losing. Keep on pking lowbies, I'll be in garagoth or daeron if you need me.
