Lobbying for Paladin pure class bonuses.
Lobbying for Paladin pure class bonuses.
Hi, along with me there is another pure paladin named Mystic Knight who would like some pure class bonuses for his character.
From what I understand, pure Paladin isn't the greatest PvPer, but in order to have a diverse world, pure pallys are needed. So this is where pure class bonuses come in. We don't want everyone "settling" for the same characters just for PvP ability, do we?
If you guys, the DM team, are planning to add some more bonuses to the Purist Guild in Avendel, please consider Paladin for the future. Thanks.

paladins have divine favor for +dmg as well as other useful spells, not to mention divine might + shield. favored enemies is good..as long as you are fighting your favored enemies. paladin stuff works vs anythingAjantis. wrote:Paladins in my opinion could use a bonus more considering after level 20, they seem to become increasingly ineffective, especially in the planes. Rangers at least can have favored enemies.
rogues are even worse...they cant sneak, cant crit, can barely hide, cant get enough trap components to make much use of those, cant tank long with no discipline....i dont know how Aiea has a lvl 40 pure rogue.

Paladins also have smite evil, and the epic feat great smiting.... Take a few of those and watch your smite damage go through the roof. Up to 10x ur paladin level. 400 damage per smite (without buffs or weapon or anything). can get that up to 3 times per day... anyone smell a boss hunter? (just to say the least about it)
Hmmm I'd better take Great Smiting then, I must not have understood it when I read it. Should I take Overwhelming Critical, too? I still have the opportunity for a few more feats.
I've been scouring the Mountain Trail and Giant Mountain for a +2 Charisma Tome with no luck (I've heard they can be found there).
Does anyone have one they would let go cheaply? LoL
Also, it's great to know that other pure class bonuses are in the works. I apologize for my past frustrations, most of it was due to MD always playing on the fringe of the rules, and knowing it. Good riddance.

great smite requires 25 cha base and if all feats are taken its +440 damage not 400.
back on topic as stated paladins rangers and rogues all need some pure class perks more than other classes. order of release dont matter much to me tho i believe paladins have already had a good bit of work done on their pure class perks so by all means finalize it then hit the others.

I'd alter that list slightly (and you forgot monk) -- druids should be ahead of the other casters since they are the only ones that can't haste - and that's really a requirement for effective PvP on NS4..-BannyD- wrote:rogue > fighter > barbarian > ranger > paladin > sorc > cleric > wizard > druid > bardlordshelt wrote:personally, I think the ranger is in way more need of a pure class bonus.
is the order i think they should be done in
My list would probably be:
fighter > barb > ranger > rogue > paladin > druid > cleric > bard > sorc > monk > wizard
I put cleric in before bard due to some factions not having travel domain - since a speed boost seems to be a basic feat. of the pure classes so far.
I'd put ranger and rogue ahead of paladin since paly can wear heavy armor, and can survive longer and has better buffs.
