Aasimar's light

Post by kain124 »

Can anyone explain to me why the aasimar light spell only works when in combat? It's supposed to radiate constantly.

it seems to me that what actually happens is that light is cast on anything that enters the aura, but never the aasimar himself

Well, the Aasimar does have a constant, inherent light already (its not real bright, but it's there), the token only enhances it in battle.

I'm just curious why the token doesn't work like the spell. I actually cast light now because I can see at night with it, th aasimar light doesn't work as intended (at least in my eyes).

the aasimar ability is set to a token and gives you a "light" radius.....ever use it on someone hiding in the shadows? you just might be able to see them sometimes.

Aasimar

I have a smart alecki question, could the aasimar special ability possibly be any more useless? I dont think so maybe someone could make it worse but I cant imagine it. A feeble little light that is not effective vs anything dark, useless in darkness spell... It would be tough.

OOh I must be crabby today.

Well, it does blind Drow and Tieflings, or maybe just Tieflings. Not the best, but its not supposed to be very good to be honest.
Serving NS4 proper as Lathander and Sleeth as Bahamut.

Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.

The drop in hide is great, caught a few people with it already, my biggest gripe with it, is that when it is night out I can't see and w/out the use of a torch or a ring w/light I'm runnin round blind. And personally I refuse to buy those items if my character can cast light o.0

Actualy, tho I have not found documentation of it, it seems to drop oponents hide skill 1*aasimar lvl, whis at lvl 40 is -40 points to hide skill for the poor sd... Added in that spot is wis based which aasimars get a boost in, they can get some wery nice spot :p

Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!
