Hiding Relics.

This is just an idea, cause relics are meant for just raiding and capping like capture the flag right. So why not have a timer on the relics that get dropped by anyone, anywhere so that they return to the last cradle it came from. It really is annoying when someone just goes to ur cradle to get that of the faction u r raiding, and hiding it. If you cant defend it then run around lvling with it or just dont raid.

Anyway thats my idea.

If you run around lvling with it a server message should go off every 5mins or so giving your exact location :twisted: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:

Who are you to decide what relics are meant for? This has already been discussed. You can either pry a relic from a cradle, a dead body, or from off the floor of a forest.

And most people that raid are level 40, so that leveling with a relic on you back wouldn't work. Also, if I recall, Relics can't be taken to the Planes. So that logic right there is pretty flawed.

My response is, why should it go back to the last cradle? It wasn't defended properly there. It should go back to it's faction, just like on resets. It's fine the way it is and there do not need to be any changes. Just my $.02.

As you all know I am a big fan of players who run and hide with relics or choose to dump them somewhere unexpected. It's all part of the game.

In theory I think it's fine if a relic just stays hidden till a reset, but I think Mental is right because the relic system seems broken (unless its been fixed). Relics aren't always where the diviner says they are... I recall several DMs not being able to find a relic... that's a problem.

DMs are players too. they can be outsmarted. a well hidden relic will be very hard to see for anyone, regardless if you can instantly teleport to the map it is in.

No, it wasn't there unless it was hid using an exploit... we've even found it in an area where the diviner said it wasn't.

sounds like a faulty -diviner- script, not a relic script then.

all i have to say is..... AHAHHAAHAHAHHAHAH!!!!

Maybe I'll have to come back more often, make a superfast monk so i can gank relics and hide them all over the place... but even that would get old quickly.

Actually we only hide MA's relic and others on occasion when a reset is coming and we want them to go back to their faction rather than to MA.
