Why would I want to count 12 hours twice? I’m perfectly capable of counting to 24, and while we’re at it, can someone go shoot named time zones. GMT+x is all we need!

make sure your using a viable resolution. when i switched to the 8800gts with a 19" flat panel i changed my res. once i did i couldn't get anything but a black screen when i started it up..unless i shrank it to the menu and back.

try changing your res and see what happens.

I bought a 19" widescreen, but it didn't help turning down resolution to minimum. Also nwn 2 finally runs wery well :p

Tep is referring to the "native resolution" of your LCD display. I have a 19" widescreen LCD and its "native resolution" is 1440x900. If you can't get it working in full screen, try windowed mode with a small resolution like 800x600.

with my new rig, i was having what i thought were video or audio issues that only seemed to happen with NWN (and Wow to a lesser extent) but it turned out that it was my new (amd x2) dual core cpu that was the problem! Putting in an older video driver DID seem to solve it but the real solution was different and worked a lot better:

To solve it I just launch nwn with a program I found on the net called 'RunFirst' ( http://www.activeplus.com/us/freeware/runfirst/ ) that launches it with 1 core instead of both.

As of 1.67, nwn includes a setting in the nwnplayer.ini that takes care of this.

http://nwn.bioware.com/support/patchdetails167.html

"Added a new option to the nwnplayer.ini file under [Game Options] "Client CPU Affinity" (for Windows only). If you have more than one CPU on your PC, then you can use this setting to make the game run on only one of the CPUs by specifying the number of the CPU (0-31). Setting "Client CPU Affinity=-1" will turn off CPU affinity."
