ever since the relics came into the server ive allwase thought that the factions own relic should be removed last by invaders for a coupple reasons
1. its a forigen cradel and they dont know how it works
2. each cradel needs its own relic to work like a keystone and it is nessicary to remove the other relics to get to the factions own relic.
3. as it is now 2 invaders can completely kill all your hard work in 40 seconds
another suggestion, in keeping with this theme, you must have your own relic in order to put others in the cradel. i realize this will make hiding relics all that more of a pain but meh who is lame enough to hide them anyway ( jk BB )
as it is now you already get your own relic first so this above suggestion is in line with how its already set up.
just a suggestion to make the relic game more intuitive and fun.
Relic Cradel
I completely agree, i am sure at the time it seemed like a good idea but i think your relic should be locked into the cradle until all others have been removed. and to those who say if it aint broke dont fix it i can only say, if we follow that line of thought then lets just stop trying to improve the server at all.

You may not feel that everything is balanced or exactly how you would like it to be but hey, if nothing else then at least we've given you a reason to care!
Maybe a vote on the relic cradle order would be appropriate. Personally I think it's great that you can handicap the relic bonus of a faction by stealing their own relic - especially as it's generally the second out of the pot. I TOTALLY understand and recommend stealing the home faction relic and hiding with it if you wish. Hell I'm willing to give +10% xp to any char carrying one! (disclaimer I'm definitely NOT saying that is going to happen). Why should SL (or whoever) who seem to have the most high levels chars have all of the pie? Stealing the SL relic and running off with it is a whole new side-game I didn't really foresee, but i reckon it sounds like alot of fun.
One last thing - if you choose to ignore the relic system then that is fine too. Nothing has changed on the server for you than before we put it in.

Logging a Monk in next to a cradle and then running around in circles from the NPC defenders (because they would murder you) until it gives you the relic was a pretty pathetic tactic that we saw being used.
However, grabbing relics should not 'have' to be about tanking it out with half the server. If you are sneaky you can still have all of the defenders killed before the cradle alerts anyone that you are there.
There has been a lot of talk in the past about Sleeth for example having a open area for a relic cradle home. Now, the advantage to this (apart from the dragon really coming into play now) is that attackers have a potentially larger search area to purge the defenders.
The braziers in the Wolf Den were adjusted to allow dragonshapes a bit more room. I meant to fix that for you guys ages ago, but forgot all about it.
The order of relic giving will not change. All of the cradles have a different give order so the balance is achieved in this kind of format
1234567
2345671

4567123

So keep giving me your lunch guys, I'll be happy and get fat for sure, but you'll die of painful hunger and starvation first.
Serving NS4 proper as Lathander and Sleeth as Bahamut.
Yes, I'm a DM, but your build still sucks.
