Leather crafting

My druid is level 40 and I made a MA whip, then tried to upgrade it. It said the item cannot be upgraded. Did I find a bug or is this the way it was meant to be? It's hard to determine exactly what goes wrong because of the time delay in making MA items, but there were only 4 people on the server and there was no lag. Hope this helps.

On a second note, can we get an official answer on weather or not crafted items can be upgraded to level 40. I'd hate to waste the time, cash, and xp for items with the intent of making the 40 only to find out that it is not possible.

AFAIK, the crafted items only go up to level 30 (the up to 40 idea was met with a lot of resistance from the player base). The verdict is still out on possible upping of the crafted gear levels as some level 40 items do exist.

there are certain items that cannot be upgraded, and alot of them are weapons, i believe that the [censored] sword is about the only weapon that can be double upgraded

On this note caan anyone tell me if the 2 types of Ammies are the only upgradables for MA arcane crafters, or can i upgrade the crafted silvery staffs from +4 to +6 etc
