PMs and BGs

so i was thinking about all these nutral pms and i got to thinking....

If pm doesnt have to be evil why should bg?

i have heard so much whining about the nutral pms that i thought hey why not make BGs nutral too.

Would give TC a smiting class (lol) and it wouldnt require a wipe or anythign.

It would also give TC and NC the SUmmon power vs MA that would be gratly welcomed im sure.

Just a thought no flames please ...

Please read the Never winter Nights official class descriptions of both prestige classes. It should clear up your confusion Havok.

Background

Necromancy is usually a poor choice for arcane spell casters. Those who really want to master the deathless arts almost always pursue divine means. However, an alternative exists for those who desire power over undead, without losing too much of their arcane power. Enter the pale master, who draws on a font of special lore that provides a macabre power all its own.


It clearly says nothing about being evil, only non good. The wish to be immortal is not necessarily an evil goal as previous posters have consistently explained. The palemaster's association with the undead is not inherently evil either, as lawful good clerics also have this same ability.

I believe that PMs should be made to be evil for the same reasons many of the other changes have been made... BALANCE!! PMs as they are now are way overpowered. After all are you telling me that if you saw a person walking around town with a half wrotten zombie corpse following him around you wouldn't think he was on the same side as demons and devils :wink:

I kind of view the neutral PM as a type of scientist. They are studying the magical art of the undead and in turn develops some of their characteristics due to constant exposure to these elements. They are not looking to rule the world just understand one of its many, magical facets. Now I know it is a little different in a PVP world with MA having so many of them but the original intent was one of undead research.

Hey maybe the ksts have a point.

And maybe the whole realm should conform to their ideas of what should and shouldnt be and why.

And maybe because they don't know how to beat a PM we should make all PM's evil, and they still won't know how to beat them. It's not that hard think about it.

Hey heres an idea, since MA is the evil faction and Monks can be evil, MA should have Monks too. I mean if you saw a monk with glowing eyes running around stealing your relic wouldnt you say "Hey, thats evil!" "The Silent Lord take you!"

I think Druids can be nuetral evil too. Maybe we should get them as well. And Rangers. And Barbarians.

Learn how to beat a PM and stop whining. Maybe your builds in kst are just terrible. It's like you're trying to dps with a prot spec, go rage works much better for that. So do dot's and kiting. I'm sure the kst's know what I mean.

er, normally i'd agree but if he's asking for BGs they get smite GOOD, which as far as I know wont help them vs pale masters.

in any case, dude who posted the "blackguards epitomize evil" description won the thread... lock stock and barrel.

lets bring the "pm vs evil!! monk vs MA" discussions back to any of the 12 other threads on those topics.

I see where this is going so I guess we will leave it to the Devs and DMs to decide wether or not PMs should be evil, since no one knows how to discus things without flaming or calling people whiners.....LOCKED
