Now all I need is the wireless internet to work. (and NWN)

Which version of Ubuntu are you running? I'm currently on 6.10 (Edgy Eft) but I was using 6.06 (Dapper Drake) prior to this. It's my main OS for playing NWN online since I get better framerates than under Windows and for online, I don't need all the bells and whistles that are missing.

I'd be more than happy to give you a hand.

I'm in Edgy Eft, what would really help me is some time of command list so I can work the terminal efficently

Any particular commands you're looking for? I'm not entirely clear how versed you are in the linux command set. If you need the basic command set that you're most likely to use in the course of setting up the game. But if you've got the basics down already, that won't be of much use.

First things you're going to want to do if you haven't already is decide on a text editor. I use vi (well really, vim), but that's only because I got my start in Solaris. For someone who hasn't used it (or more likely, been forced to use it), it's going to seem extremely counter-intuitive.

Also, the "man" command is your friend when you want help on a command.

Ex.:

man vi
man ls
man apt-get
man sudo

You get the picture.

Sorry I keep double posting here but I keep running into new barriors. I installed NWN it works, however now as well as I had hoped.

If anyone could direct on how to install drivers for:

ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 graphics with 256MB SDRAM

And sound:

Its a built in intel chip, not sure on the model, but it comes with the MacBook Pro (Possibly Legacy)

http://ati.amd.com/support/drivers/linu ... adeon.html is the ATI support site, I run the install from ATI and it seems to work correctly for me on FC6. If you already had ATI drivers installed it doesn't change the xorg.conf file.
