same armor, different makes and models

Post by powerferret »

I was wondering if eventually, there could be different styles of the same kind of armor for sale in the stores. They would be exact copies in regards to bonuses and AC, but they would have completley different looks to them. That and the addition of dyes eventually, would make for an even greater ability to cutomize your character. This would also apply to the helms of course, since they are the other bit of armor that you can see pretty easlily. I wouldnt think it would be nessisary for sheilds though, due to the low number of actual options on them.

just a thought :D
(noticeing that all the leather armor ive bought looks the same besides color)

that would be cool but would be a lot of extra work for the devs for no real benefits beyond customization.

I dunno about you guys, but in the menzoduran archery shop I've found multiple light armours that do the same thing. One looked like brown hide armour, the other looked like red chainmail, both had 4 AC +1, 5% slash immune (ya it was noob gear, but i can only assume there'll be more like it as the levels go up).

Maybe its an idea to make a shop at some point in time where one can buy rediculessly over prized dyes

I don’t really see much point in intelligence anyway, even at very high levels of intelligence, wizards still don’t realize it would have been smarter to be a sorcerer.

I wonder if you'll be able to customize armor like in HotU. That'd be a great money sink imo.

i dont think premade armor should be customizable, but you should be able to "custom order" a suit from a special blacksmith in avendell or deep in the mountains past the fiery dragon or something for a huge huge huge amount of money.
