I think they're taking a second look at high-level items before putting anything new (above level 25 stuff at least) into the mod... that would include the crafting upgrades.
yeah... i think it could really kill the server for new people and kind of force everyone to join guilds just to get at the good gear since the average player would have to spend months just getting a couple pure crafters to 40 and upgrading gear before they could begin playing at a competitive level...
Maybe if more details were given about the specific time and investment required to upgrade were posted as well??
Sorry for the delay, not really any good excuses for this except we did use alot of time planning other but related things that hold this off.
Costs have been upped a bit on the gold side, but atleast it should be alot more bug free.
Also there have been placed caps on some of the item properties, so saves shouldn't go over 6, ability bonuses shouldn't go over 8 and AC vary between 5 and 6 depending on the gear.
MA Leather upgrades didn't work for me. My 40th level Druid tried upgrading old MA gear she had on her and I kept getting back un-upgraded items. I tried making a new pair of MA boots and the same thing happened... I even put in two pairs of boots just to see what would happen and I lost both pair with nothing to gain from it. Not sure if this is specifically related to Leather Crafting but nothing would work for me. Just an FYI.
yeah.. after I put 2 boots in, one old and one new, I clicked on the crafting station and the script started over erasing the inventory in the box. I will be glad to test this for you but I can't make anymore new items for 24hours since the box ate my new boots.
uprade worked fine for me. i was briefly the proud owner of a +7 con belt.
when i tried to upgrade it again it said i wasn't experienced enough (i'm level 30, how high is the second upgrade level?) and then tried to give me my belt back but something went wrong and it disappeared instead.
