Dragon Shape, Breathe Weapon and Aura

Post by JesterOI »

I see there was an aura added, but when fatz tried to use it on his 32 druid it said he wasn't dedicated enough...

Could we get some stats/info posted on the aura plz? Requirements / Duration / DC's / what makes it stronger?

Also DC27 on the breathe weapons seems weak, as well as only ~60 dmg

Could we also get some info on if/how it scales with level and what makes it stronger?

Breath DC info is either in the changelog or in the druid/shifter faq on gamefaqs--don't recall if it's changed.

The fear aura is supposed to be useable only by Shifters.

oh bah, shifter pRc  ...well at least the aura looks somewhat pretty

aye, the breath DC is very low... especially for the dedication required to build a decent dragonshape in the first place :)

/edit. i re-read the change log, didnt see specifics on dc

Doesn't make much sense in allowing only Shifter class to have access to the aura...

Easier to reply then find the thread that has the reasons. Mainly it was looked at but a pure druid has a lot of benefits over multi druid/shifter, spell duration, number of spells, spell resistance, etc. It was talked out and decided only shifters would get the aura.

The polymorth file lists them as ancient so the breath dc should be 35 but, thats something I would need to look into to be sure.

From
http://db.gamefaqs.com/computer/doswin/ ... hifter.txt (direct link will NOT work as gamefaqs does not allow direct linking):
Breath Attack [Refl DC=15+(SL+DL)/2]
So a reflex save of 27 for the breath attack is what a level 24 druid should have--is that your actual level?

Let this be my official petition to bring back the old Dragonshape.

Does the breath attack still allow unlimited uses a day? If so, then it should not likely receive an increase. I remember killing a high level Bard-PM using only the breath attack, because the dragon itself couldn't touch his AC. Very cheap.
But, it's such a draining job that, until you've DMed on an NWN server yourself, you the playerbase, have got to cut the DMs some slack. - Flailer
