Beware the test levels!

A while back I tested what would happen if I took cleric domains on my sorc to boost the summon. I wanted to add good domain cleric in the hopes my solar would get a decent boost.

After the test I found that the cleric good domain did not help my Solar at all as it listed in the summoning guide. So I de-leveled by character and decided I would go pure Sorc to level 40 as previously planned.

Well here's the catch, as I turned level 36 today I found I could not take sorc anymore. From what I figure I've gotten a player token or fired off a script somewhere that flagged my character for a minimum of 5 cleric levels... even though I currently do not have any cleric levels.

So beware of test levels it may come back to haunt you if you test anything after level 20. I've already PM'ed Zing about this, I just want to share my exp with this.

A DW member ran into a similar problem pre-wipe. He took a prestige class, delevelled and tried to take a different prestige class. It wouldn't allow him to take any other prestige classes (because of the 1 prestige class limit) so he ended up taking the 1st prestige class again.

I can see if I can put in a check for that condition. I tried covering a range of possiblities, but it can get messy when players take a level and then back out of it later...
