Advice for epic wizard (or sorc)?

the sorc being the spontanious casting mayhem that it is also does not have to mem metamagic spells they can be cast on the fly IE a wiz needs to make a slot for maximized IGMS whereas a sorc can cast it as needed with no need for special prep

meh, i'm not sure metamagic alters the mix really. i can be in *dire need* of a shadow shield instead of a bigby 6 just as easily as i can be in *dire need* of a maxed IGMS instead of a bigby 9.

what it does do is alleviate the sorc's lack of spells a bit. if a sorc takes max, his IGMS is effectively 2 offensive spells 'cos it can be metamagiced into 2 levels. this negates the wiz's advantage a bit because you essentially get twice as many offensive spells for your buck.
